Use this 3 step approach to quickly get your architecture and real estate photos edited in Lightroom CC and back to your clients. This approach saves a lot of time over more refined approaches but gets your photos looking pretty good with minimal fuss.

Your videos are the best, clear and consice, and very instructive. You obviously remember your own challenges as a beginner long ago, and apply that in a patient unassuming way.

Love that technique of subtracting from the radial gradient with linear gradients and luminosity ranges!! Much more efficient and precise than the erase w/ auto-mask I would normally use. Thanks Anthony! 🤩

For the adjustments within the fireplace, I would have probably used the object selection mask to save the time of removing the overflow of the radial mask, but good video as always 👍

Nice work Anthony! I would like to start photo shooting but don’t know where to start 😢 what program do you use and you can recommend it to me? Thank you

Hi Alex, so I use a combo of software, I use Lightroom, Photoshop, Luminar Neo and colorEfex Pro. All are valuable tools. However, if I were starting out and had to pick just one, these days it'd be Neo (and they actually currently have a really good Summer sale running bit.ly/NeoSale). It's all slider-based, easy to learn and has some really useful tools for architectural/real estate work, such as the highly coveted HDR merge and now luminosity masks too. But if you're getting started its much easier than LR and PS.

Hi Anthony , i have downloaded yesterday Luminar neo but its complicated for me. I need so practice and im following your videos. Is this program in Luminar neo or its separated? I have to finish a project and even didn't start as i need time and practice :/

Great tutorial Anthony. Learning how to use the guided tool has really been a game changer for me. It is easy enough when its simply aligning objects that are slightly skew in the corner but I am having a hard time figuring out what exactly the science of it is when you pulled off that remarkable re-framing of the image at 6:30. Every time I try, the image just becomes warped and never straightens up. Is this something you could maybe cover in more detail in one of your future tutorials?

Preset - I'd love to see the settings you use and why you use them. Every different explanation of presets helps me develop my own since I'm quite keen on not copying others but learning from them. I do all my own editing and there aren't that many channels that go into great detail about preset development, and various groups that I'm in all seem to parrot "outsource your editing".
@archiphoto

Thanks David. Yeah there's an argument for outsourcing for sure, but personally I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing my images take shape the way I envisaged them. A good starter preset is a great way to have your cake and eat it. You don't have to spend too long on the edit but you still get to craft the photo yourself. If enough people show interest then I'll put a vid together. Cheers for watching and commenting! 😃

@@archiphoto I agree! It feels wrong to take the photo but not fully control how it turns out! I've got a few base presets that I've built that do okay for now, but I create new ones and modify old ones off of videos like this. 😃

Hi, another great video. I was just wondering how you first got started in gaining clients. Where did you go to gain those clients in the first place. I was initially concentrating on Airbnb hosts as my clients but am interested in how you started off. Any advice is much apricated :)

Thanks again for the videos. When you do quick turnaround edits like the one in this video, do you sync the whole stack? And does the quick edit masking then play a part in HDR conversion later if the photo is selected by the client?
@archiphoto
@archiphoto Жыл бұрын
At this stage I'll probably not sync to the stack. I'll do that if it's selected. The local masking doesn't get applied to the hdr merge as part of lightroom's processing but I'll usually sync it over from my initial edit as a starting point.

@@archiphoto Oooh - I don't know why I hadn't thought of the masking being synced to the HDR. Jumpstart to the edit for sure!

@@archiphoto It's the least I could do! ❤...I stumbled on your channel a couple weeks ago and what you do and how you do it really impresses me. I am a Real Estate photographer in the US. I have been at this for about 10 years and shoot in the neighborhood of 500-600 homes per year. I shoot HDR and have developed my own work flow to where I can deliver a quality product very fast but am always looking to up my game and really like some of the techniques you use! Seeing what you can achieve on "high end" work has inspired me to perhaps reach out to designers, architects and contractors and offer my services. Right now 99% of my work is run-of-the-mill Real Estate, which I love to do, and to be honest I never even thought to reach out to other industries so, thanks for that too!
