Best thing to do in the morning... wake up and watch your editing master pieces... just awesome.... Ps. Brother.. do you have anny work around on the lagging capcut has when your stacking clips, adding transitions, effects and doing sound design ... when your watching the play back to see if everything is perfect... it starts to lag, and make things a bit harder to make sure all is where it should be... I have a monster of a gaming laptop that I use for my editing so that's not the issue... + I also already did all the settings I found online that supposedly need to make it work better... but still lagging ... or am I pushing capcut way to much like I do premiere pro... lol 😊😅❤

Good evening, trevor! I absolutely love your editing content, and thanks to your tutorials, I’ve learned so much!! If it’s possible, I’d like to ask you a question, as I couldn’t find a video on your channel. I’m participating in an editing contest, creating a TikTok for a “100-day Pull-up Special” for a KZbinr. What would be a good cinematic-style introduction? Or if you have a video of that style, I’m more than willing to watch it!

Hey brother, I doubt you will get around to this question with your 54,000 plus subscribers, especially, since it’s reactively insignificant. But I was wondering if you could explain, maybe on a video the difference between ‘flashlight’ and ‘time-lapse’ settings on ‘remove flickers’ in capcut pro; when to use. Much love and respect. Your brother in Christ, Lazarus.

The short answer is: what we see as continuous light from artificial sources is often light pulsing very fast, determined by the power source. Power in the UK is 50 Hz and in the US 60 Hz, meaning light will pulse 100 or 120 x per seconds, respectively. Since they are pulses, it isn't really continuous light, we just can't normally see it. But different frame rates and shutter speeds can and do pick it up, causing flickering. The easiest fix is usually to film at a frame rate that is evenly divisible by the light source pulse rate. For example, at 60 Hz, a shutter speed of 30 fps should, in theory, fix any pulsing. But if we don't catch it when we film, it's sometime fixable in the edit, which is what "Remove Flickers" is about. It gives us basic settings, one to try to remove flicker caused by a flashlight, and the other designed to remove flicker created with the frame rate and shutter speed combo a time lapse might cause, along with a few options for how strong to make the filter. None of it is a guarantee of anything. If you DO get flicker in a video, I'd just try all the settings and see if any help. Obvisously, if it's flashlight flicker, start there. Better yet, when filming with artificial light, check first and try adjusting your frame rate and/or shutter speed to remove any flicker.
