Gruberova is technically a slightly better than Dame Sutherland, especially after Sutherland's nose surgery and her color picture recording era. Gruberova is MUCH BETTER than Sutherland after Sutherland's nose surgery, where Sutherland's voice was swallowed in her mouth and swollen a bit.

I agree with you and yet it is not impossible for a leggero voice to sing this role successfully. There are live recordings as well as her commercial recording of Anna Bolena by Ms Sills and there really is NO-ONE that I have heard on recording that can touch her in the role! Her intensity of interpretation is just mind blowing and yet she achieves incredible power throughout and still manages an unbelievable legato line with chest notes to DIE for. There's no legato in the Gruberova performance

If you don't know anything, you don't have to say anything. Dame Sutherland (mainly the color picture recording era after her nose surgery) and Cabelle were awesome, but technically they were a slight bit less awesome than Gruberova.

Sutherland had much bigger voice than Gruberova. On the other hand, Sutherland's coloratura technique was awful (she often started the run late, then sang it as fast as she could to compensate and returned to the original tempo after that). These undesirable changes in tempo ruined the musical line.

Un piètre provocateur prétend ici que les ornements de la dame nuisent à la ligne mélodique cependant que, relativement discrets, ils s'enroulent autour et n'appellent en conséquence aucun rallentando. Une critique tombant à plat faute d'appui. Nous tenons là un "Coppia iniqua" d'anthologie. Fermeté de l'attaque, projection du timbre, battue remarquable des trilles ascendants, détermination de l'accent. Le mi bémol, facultatif, est attaqué bas mais vite rattrapé et même si son utilité est discutable il satisfait une partie du public sans nuire aux intentions du compositeur. On est bien là dans ce "compromis" qui participe de la définition du style musical servi.

Although Gruberova has an amazing coloratura technique, she should stick to lyric roles. A role like Bolena requires a strong middle and lower register, which she absolutely does not have, and her constant scooping and yelling for notes is infuriating. That being said, there are moments of greatness in this piece, but it is nothing to write home about.
