We moved to FL one week ago, from TN, but originally from NJ. It is definitely a different feeling in a warm climate. The complex has decorated the palm trees. It does look festive, it's going to take me a little while to get use to warm weather in December. However in January I'm sure I'll be loving it. Enjoy the replay, card is beautiful.

Here in Colorado I always hope for snow on Christmas. As you are aware the Rocky Mnt region is experiencing one of the longest no snow periods in History. So I am praying for a blizzard!!

I've always had hot Christmases in NZ and Australia. But I'd love a white, wintry, cold Christmas just for the crafting aspect. There's no summer Christmas stamps or tutorials or there. It's all snow men and snow. Father Christmas with a surf board is every kind of wrong 😆
@leannewith33 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The rare warm Christmas stamps are usually terrible, palm trees and surf boards aren’t realistic. We did get a white Christmas in Melbourne once 😳 but it was hail not snow 🤣

I watch your series every year. I don’t even make cards and I am not a crafter, but the series is so calming, and it’s a therapeutic escape for me. Can you try making a card using fabric, making them puffy or quilted?

LOVE, LOVE this card!! It was so much fun watching you go through your creating process! I liked the other card also, but this one is…WOW!! I’d forgotten about the ribbon tip…I’ll be using that! PS… I have to say, (not to be weird), but you have such a calming voice. You, Therese & Jennifer are always a delight to listen to, & of course talented beyond belief! Thank you for all you do & share! I live in Tennessee. We had a white Christmas last year & it was beautiful & not unbearably cold.

I would love a white Christmas! Living in the California desert, we rarely get snow, but we have had a couple of white Christmas years in the 73 years I've lived here. Now we just go up to our daughter's for a white Christmas in Cedar Fort, UT! Glad the card turned out great - sometimes we just have to tweak them a little until we're happy!

I loved this video of the live replay more than any other I’ve seen because of the change of mind you had and how you were able to handle it with Cathy Z. It all started because of the dark green tree 🌲. The most I would have done was remove the trees by using either my heart gun to loosen the adhesive or I would have “sawed” the back of the trees off with a stiff cardstock or dental floss. I would have done the 3 trees in same color then it the middle one in the medium green and the left and right one with the lighter green. Cathy with her design background made a much better choice than I ever could have, though. The only thing I might have done different the second way was to use all same size gems throughout the tree and then for the bow, I would have tired a knot, then cut the ribbon, and then made a separate note and glued it on the knit area to make it straight and even. Either way, if the end, it was beautiful. I wish I could have watched you live!

Watch the beginning of live, had to leave but got back to see the first card that you didn’t finish, and then I saw the finished card with the bow. It turned out beautiful. This was the first time I saw you “frustrated.” It all worked out good in the end. I have never had a warm Christmas and we have a lot of big windows in our house. I like a white Christmas and snowing is even better.

Living in Australia, I have only ever known a summer Christmas and as Mariaflies said there aren't stamps/dies to make summer christmas cards. So never having experienced a white christmas, when I think of Christmas I think of snow, its bizarre. Kristina you and your designer friends need to brain storm tasteful summer christmas card ideas and come up with stamps and dies for those of us in warmer climates. I'd like to experience a white christmas but I hear from many that its not what it is cracked up to be!

I live in Florida, Ann and we decorate the palm trees. I have summer Christmas stamps from years ago. Sorry I don't remember where from but any palm tree stamp would work. Just add colored lights with a gel pen.

I think the problem with the first version is that the tree on the right is small and so the design is weighted to the left and looks closer to the edge on the left side. Can't believe you got this edited version down to 18 minutes. Wonder if having a green gel pen dashed line around the edge of the white would have helped?
@SandyHuntress3 жыл бұрын
I think the first card design was good, but it was the colors you were hating. The green was too yellow and the white stitching too stark against the cream glitter paper, imo. 🙂

My husband put out Christmas lights this year wrapping the trunks of our 4 palm trees with clear lights and the top with red lights. It looks amazing.
