Excellent job, Kristina. You weren't kidding about it being a labor of love. I wish I could see his face when he receives this. Oh what fun to just think about it. You'll have to let us know.

Absolutely a labor of love! I think I'd reduce it to a gift tag. And maybe use a hole punch, layered, for the raised parts done in a different colored paper than the deeper base. I can imagine a psyched little dude with that tag opening a Millienium Falcon. Tho, my son and his buds were still re-doing their Lego Star Wars kits on their junior year abroad. Those were the good ole days. : ) We still have some light sabers and their owners in a box.

That took a lot more patience than I have but it is fabulous. He will love it. I did make a Lego card for the little boy next door for his birthday but the Lego blocks were a lot bigger.

Your patience level is out of this world! The envelope turned out amazing. (As I'm sitting here in my basement living level/craft room/Lego storage area!) I've been buying Lego for my son since he was three years old and he's turning 50 next month. I think your envelope is very realistic looking and thank you for saying "Lego" instead of "Legos" - the individual pieces are called 'plates' and 'bricks' and many other names, but, collectively, they're all Lego. Thanks for once again sharing your talent and your genius with us!

Also, you just have to consider the “trash factor” and not create envelopes or cards that require this much time for people you know would immediately discard it. Reserve stuff like this for people you know will see the value in it.
