great tool! you could also pipe fzf to prompt the recent files and select which one you want to open in vim! Just an 8 year late suggestion hahah maybe you already implemented it.

Can somebody explain to me why to escape the brace and pipe characters in the regex at 3:30? Shouldn't the double quotes be sufficient for not having the shell interpret those?

***** I guess the braces and the pipe are considered metacharacters then when escaped, and literals otherwise. A bit weird, since it's exactly the other way around with the period and star.
