People are saying that the black and white fisheye shot of Kendrick and the family is supposed to mimic the style of spy cam footage. Drake is spying on the family trying to dig up dirt but all he's going to see is them happy and dancing. Not sure if that was the intent but I can see it. No such thing as overanalyzing a Kendrick project.

I always thought of it more literally. I imagined it to be from the perspective of an actual fishbowl, as if Drake finds the concept of a happy family so foreign to him that he cannot imagine it accurately, and skews things because he’s so alienated

the thing that's fun about watching you break this down is how the things you point out are basically tying into most of the major shots kendrick is taking, but without the knowledge of the drake/kendrick beef to know why these moments are so good with the whole narrative of the song and the wider commentary it's making about the whole back and forth. it's even in the small details in the shots like how with the a minor line he holds that a bit longer than is comfortable, and so does the shot with its angle as kendrick dances off screen. The line, the set, and the shot all line up to say "Ok, yeah, i know i'm kinda dragging this out by now but let me do this victory lap and we'll all get to enjoy this banger of a track." at 19:40 the wide angle is probably a 360 cam that was edited to look like a crazy wide angle, people in sports use it a lot to capture the right stuff at the right time. also Redbull uses it a lot in there vids cause u cant really afford to miss the shot and with a 360 cam you can see everything and just edit it to look like a regular cam after.
