I pay income tax on income earned, pay GST on goods purchased, pay road/life tax on vehicles and then pay toll tax to travel on road… pay > 30% when I earn > 10lakhs but corporate taxes are reduced approx 22% from 30% for earnings in crores… that’s why people are wanting to go abroad

True that everyone pay taxes in one form or another, but those who buy more pay more taxes in the form of GST. In other words if poor spend 200 per day, 36 goes to government as 18%GST, while rich spend 2000 on daily basis, 360 is paying as taxes. So i don't know if the GST is that bad, but i believe there might be better choices on taxing which could be recommend by experts in field. As usual the discussion was informative while addressing india's true problems. Please keep up the good work.

A common man or salaried person pay up to 30 percent income tax as direct tax and from remaining income one must pays GST for his purchase. Hence total taxes he/she paying from his revenue is nearly 40 to 45 percent. Only net 55 percent is the their disposable income.
