Not a lot of people realize how big story potential this has for both Tanjiro’s character as well as Kokushibo. Ignore power scaling entirely. The successor of Yorrichi, a sun breathing user, embodying almost all of Yorrichi’s traits, including his actual sword. Versus Upper Moon 1, the strongest demon next to Muzan, who tried so hard to be like his brother but could never use Sun breathing, and the only user of Moon breathing there is This would have been a match in heaven. Sun vs Moon, Tanjiro vs Kokushibo, just perfect

One of the most annying things about Demon Slayer is that this never happened. I’m not even talking about the fight. I’m saying that these two never met. It would’ve been a great character development arc for both and we’d have much more insight on Koku aside of his flashback when he died. Honestly, at this point the flashbacks all feel like info drops that the author just doesn’t know where to put.

I dislike how almost every fight between demons and humans ends up in one of them dying. If Tanjiro and Koku fought and had both of them live, then there could be big story potential for both of them. Same with possibly having muzan encounter Tanjiro again before the final fight. Another nitpick is not having the characters change in appearance often enough. One way to show progression in a character is also showing how they have grown. Imagine a taller, more wise and calm Tanjiro instead of the same Tanjiro that we have had since Tanjiro became an actual demon slayer all the way to the end of the story. It doesn’t feel like anyone has aged a year at all even though the events take place 2 years after Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer. Even if they just gave Tanjiro longer hair to make him look more like Yoriichi, I would have been fine with that.

You can't just change something as massive as this. You can't change something that would literally affect the entire story. Kokushibo would kill Tanjiro on the spot. Muzan told all kizuki to immediately kill the boy with the checkered haori wearing those earings. Kokushibo of ALL people would immediately dispatch of him. Then there's no fucking chance against Muzan.

I like how some people are saying that Tanjiro has a chance of beating him 🤡. Lmao EOS Tanjiro is not laying a finger on him, does this really need to be explained? Did you guys see what Kokushibou did to Sanemi while holding back? Tanjiro at the end of season is at most relative to giyuu who is =< Sanemi. And im obviously talking about everyone at their best, meaning marked giyuu & sanemi, 13th form, rb, marked, stw Tanjiro and 100% Koku. Yeah don't even with the Tanjiro 13th form bc Gyomei literally solos 13th form. Why do people act like 13th form gave him some big ass buff, it was just a form that was created to destroy Muzan and was legitimately made to perfectly cut through Muzan, i.e through all brain/hearts + neck for example. It has no advantage whatsoever and the fact that 13th form gives him a buff is fanon. I've even heard people saying that he is now 12x faster than normal. Literally, what the fuck. He is doing each individual form, combining it with minimal unnecessary movements in between and while it MAY be faster, 12x???? Not a chance lmfao. Oh yeah, and for those morons that think Kokushibou would be scared or coward away, they really need to re-read the manga. MUZAN was the coward who was scared of Yoriichi. Considering the fact that he has stw, it renders the second eye while not useless, but not as important as it would be to the average human/slayer. See gyomei for example (although he had both eyes blinded so it was a more severe case), he is blind but after gaining access to the stw he could sense organs, etc. Now after he has the ability of the stw, do you really think two eyes will help him that much? And i mean on the battlefield, obviously it will help him outsitof battle. Gyomei with BOTH eyes would not buff him so much BECAUSE of the access to stw. As for Tanjiro, it's only one blind eye, it won't make the difference between him beating koku and losing to him as he has constant access to the stw.

As when a slayer is fatigued, he is most likely deep into the battle, with a near death amp + more anger etc. Plus he has probably seen most of the opponentts moves leaving room for predictions. Although if he dies, it would be rendered useless. Koku literally destroys tanjiro with probably one or two full power slashes of his 14th or 16th form (I don't remember which one was the OP one)

@Gamer RAF Yeah muichiro had hella potential, but that's all just theorizing, we couldn't be for sure. Plus, it's VERY doubtful that he would be Koku level. Most people say F.P muichiro would not even beat Douma which i personally disagree to but still. Ngl everything u said is all a 'What if' scenario because obviously muichiro is already born and can't be reborn with mark this time lol. And neither can he canonly achieve sun breathing as of now. Not to mention he passed before even nearing the age of twenty so there's that. Kokushibou wasn't scared of Yoriichi himself but feared death that he thought was near as he knew Yoriichi would never be surpassed and would've one shotted him anyway.
