I have i9 14900k and rtx 4090 will edius 11 work superfast on this than previous versions?? Will it utilizes full power of 4090 and i9 (like premiere pro does) ???

Yes, EDIUS 11.11 will already be very fast on that system. And even more GPU power will come in the future!

Asking some Questions, Please reply We all want to know this. 1. Edius x or Edius 11 support intel arc graphics card in Gpu Decoding or encoding ? 2. which card we buy buy for best & fast video exporting in H.265 format {Intel ARC or Nvidia} ? 3. When Edius Support {AOMedia Video 1 (AV1) } AV1 video format to export video in AV-1 ?
@EDIUSNET7 ай бұрын
Hello! We are happy to answer your questions. 1. ARC support: EDIUS 11 supports both intel quicksync from ARC as well als GPU Pipeline but we recommend Nvidia or internal QuickSync as it gives even better performance 2. A NVidia RTX like a RTX3060 or RTX4060 is a great choice. 3. There is no clear date for support of that format. Right now, we get very little request for AV-1 support.

Just another issue with the graphic card. For a minor difference in price I can choose between a ProArt Asus 4060 TI OC 16gb with 128bit bus OR Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WindForce OC 12gb with 192 bit bus...which would be the better option for Edius ?? --- More RAM--less specs with 4060 TI @ 16gb, or less RAM - better specs with 4070 @ 12gb ??
@EDIUSNET4 ай бұрын
Right now, both GPUs will give you probably the same performance.

An very important question ... have you tested the Intel ARC 770 rendering capabilities with Edius 11.1, and if so ... how does it compare to an equivalent Nvidia card, ie RTX 4060 Ti 16gb ... ?
@EDIUSNET4 ай бұрын
It depends - do you also have a QuickSync intel CPU? There are different functions speeded up by the GPU, in the end the mix is important. so an intel CPU with QuickSync + Nvidia GPU will give you the best power in EDIUS right now. But yes, some functions are speeded up even by the ARC GPUs.

@@EDIUSNETYes, my CPU is i7-9700K and has Quicksync and I have 64gb RAM installed on an ASUS Z370-A Prime MB... but will the ARC 770 be fully as capable as the Nvidia GPU in Edius 11.1 ? I really like the ARC 770 16gb and is a 0% bottleneck perfect match for the CPU....with 2 monitors. ... or would I be better off just getting Nvidia? I am thinking of 4060Ti with 16gb as balanced choice alternative, but its a 13% bottleneck mis-match for my CPU with 2 monitors ... ... but someone said in GV forums that there was very little difference in using a GTX 1060 VS RTX 3060Ti...they tested on their own PC. (Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti has 5% mis-match with 11gb, while the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has 0% bottleneck mismatch but with only 6gb vram ... with my CPU) ... What in your tests is the best value Nvidia GPU for reasonably optimum results, and what are your thoughts on the ones i listed considering the system I have ...??...and likewise is there an optimum bottom-line sweet-spot matching vram memory in terms of easy rendering /encoding/decoding... ie: 6gb - 8gb - 11gb - 12gb - 16gb ?? ... My intentions are to get reasonably smooth-easy rendering encoding/decoding in a balanced way with minimal but reasonable outlay...ie: like the ARC 770 16gb...if able to be maximally utilized..., and the GTX 1660 Ti 6gb is the least costly...would it work almost as well??
@danielcv72114 ай бұрын
@@EDIUSNET The Intel 9700K CPU I have supports QuickSync, however with Edius 11.1 being GPU and not CPU intensive, I should be able to get away with that CPU but a good performing GPU with larger memory ie: 16gb ... On reading other posts, it seems like the Nvidia RTX 4060 TI 16gb would be a wise optimal choice in terms of value for money, with lots of potential with 16gb in utilizing the GPU pipeline to the max without needing a more powerful CPU... Another factor I am not sure about is that the RTX 4060 TI has a 128 bit memory bus, while the RTX 3060 TI has a 256 bit memory bus. Would Edius 11.1 run better-faster on a bigger 256-bit memory bus? ....Would that make a difference? ...on all these points, what do you think-advise??

It's a shame that Edius can't use all processor threads when working. I consider this to be his big shortcoming. I believe it should detect how many threads the processor has and adjust accordingly to make the most of the processor's computing power. The same goes for RAM.
@EDIUSNET9 ай бұрын
EDIUS can use all CPU threads - we have tested with a Threadripper which gives you 128 threads,. But it depends on what you do. If you work in Grass Valley HQX codec, which is an I-Frame codec, you will see great results of up to 100% udage. if you work with GOP complressed codecs like H.264 or H.265, it is technically not possible to use more than ohne thread per slice of the GOP Video. So it depends on the video file, some video files from DJI or GO Pro for example, are single slice, so only one Thread can be used for decoding. And here the GPU decoder steps in - see video. Because the GPU decoder does decode such video easily in Realtime. SO the solution to get the maximul power is to enable GPU and CPU processing. ANd that is exactly, what the EDIUS team is doing right now. The results in EDIUS 11.10 are already great!
@vfo19499 ай бұрын
@@EDIUSNET Thank you. I work with the H264 codec (H265 is very time-consuming). But even when working with video on the timeline, Edius only loads one thread for me. RAM My PC has 64 GB, but it has never been used more than 14 GB. Videos from 4 cameras 4K.
@EDIUSNET9 ай бұрын
@@vfo1949 Yes, that is exaclty what I tried to tell you: Decoding H.264 and H.265 by a software codec (CPU) depends on how the structure of the encoded video looks like. If the whole video os just one slice, so not sliced into many parts, only one CPU Thread can be used for decoding. That is, why the usage of GPU power is so important, when working with H.264 and H.265. And that is what EDIUS 11.10 is doing now. Have you tried using the latest version with your footage? Do you habe a Nvidia GPU? And what CPU? In terms of RAM: EDIUS uses, what it needs. Premiere Pro will use more and more RAM when working and in the moment, there is no more free RAM, it will crash. Try it. EDIUS works fine with the usage of the RAM it needs. for heavy projects, more RAM is good, but it is not the bottleneck.

Sorry, this is a very technical interview about the internal processing of EDIUS. EDIUS typically uses the CPU power of a system very good. In the future - which just has started with EDIUS 11.10 - the also GPU will be used much more to get the best power out of every PC. The message is simple: EDIUS will automatically see what hardware the user is using and will use all componentes in the most efficent way. To make it very simple: EDIUS will get even faster than today. Especially if you are working with 4K or eben 8K, you will see the difference already now, but it will get even better (faster). OK?

@EDIUSNET9 ай бұрын
Hello! Can you explain a bit more in detail, what you mean with the Titler? EDIUS 11 includes VisTitle, which is very powerfull and gives you many options. 360° video support: We have very little request for that feature, if many customer tell us, they need it, we can integrate it, but right now, 360° video is not in the focus of most EDIUS users. Same with 3D Editing: EDIUS X is perfect for 3D Editing, but the request for 3D Editing is low, so EDIUS 11 does no longer support 3D (Stereoscopic) video editing.
