hi, like your videos. That said, I think it's important that you say at the outset that you have some arrangement with Holbrook, if you still do. I have a friend who has the paddle and it has nowhere near the spin out of the box. I'm thinking that manufactures supply you with paddles, which are more gritty than the production units perhaps?

yea 100%, big fan of Ed's videos in general, but it was a bit disappointing that he isn't doing something pretty basic like this.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! I made an announcement on my Instagram a few weeks ago that I joined Holbrook’s team, but you’re totally right- I should have made a note about that in the beginning of this video too. I have some other videos on the docket of their newer paddles being released next year-I’ll definitely disclose that on there! Regarding your friend’s paddle- it could be possible that it’s a defect. I’d def reach out to their customer service and get a replacement!

I got mine last week and used it for the first time yesterday. My hits are way better and I get more spin off it. I do a question for anyone who knows this, is there a special way to clean this paddle or can I just use an eraser for it like any other carbon fiber paddle?

I have one, been playing with it for a month and it’s a sleeper. I have never put more spin on balls than with this paddle. Sweet spot is good/great. Handle is long enough for 2 hand back. Good control. I still added 3 gram weights to the 10-2 and 4-8. Weighs 8.4 but I like a heavier paddle. Owned about 5 paddles and this is by far my favorite.

Id like to test this out similar to a program that Gearbox uses. The paddle looks intriguing, namely the internal weights and metallic grit but the 16mm and longer handle might not be ideal for me. I use a short handle CRBN 2x 14mm but Im open to trying something new next year. Great review!

Yes! I was gonna include that in this video, but I thought I’d make a separate video overviewing each one. Im actually particularly fond of the power pro- I believe most of their pros use that one.

@@edjupickleballyes I was going to ask how the metallic version compares to the normal Pro Aero T that is non-metallic. Which do you recommend? Is it a straight up improvement going for the metallic or are there aspects in which the nonmetallic is better?

Sounds like you should simply vote with your wallet. OTOH, You might want to actually compare the construction and performance of a paddle before complaining about price. Ed points out here it plays better than the more expensive Selkirk.
