Endings are usually more calmed down, but are also a medium of story telling. Opening are usually more hype, are more like a commercial trying to sell you the show, but also trying to set up the general vibe of the show. Meanwhile endings can be more experimental and show a different side of the story or the characters.

The level of foreshadowing that the 3rd outro has for the later show is absolutely insane. Alot of the outros have so much hidden detail that adds more story elements and its super easy to miss on first watch. When you watch the show and go back for a second viewing you'll notice so much more cool stuff
@VixenSpooks Жыл бұрын
When you finish AoT come back to these outro's, and even the intro's, and read the lyrics for them all. You'll find a lot of hidden meanings you never noticed before and it's wild to think even now how much foreshadowing was in the show even from the very start.

Endings are generally meant to be mellow, especially for a show as dark as AoT. More emotion rather than just pure hype (think of the 4th opening for AoT). If there's any show to watch on the channel, this is the one. It will not disappoint. Even if you don't get the chance to record your reactions, please watch it on your own my man.

To answer your question on endings, endings tend to change between anime’s. In really dark anime’s, sometimes it reflects what happened in the episode while other times it shows the characters living a different, more happy life to make the viewers feel sad because of how much happier the characters would be if only they were born into a different family or a different world all together. In happier anime’s, it’s usually a fluffy ending similar to the op but that’s not always the case. Overall it changes a lot. Attack on titans endings in particular reflect certain points of the story or certain character arcs. ED 1, 4, 6, and 7 reflect 1 particular characters backstory/current feelings while ED 3 reflects the entire shows history. ED 2 and 5 reflect what happened in the past as well as the relationships between characters and ED 8 (the one you didn’t see) is literally just a recap of the episode because it was the ending for what is basically a movie. Edit: and if you watched ED 8, you’d probably get a lot of the important parts of the show spoiled (unless you watched it without visuals)
@RedDawnRocker Жыл бұрын
For the most part the simple distinction between an opening and an ending is that the opening is "literal" and shows you the actors and direction of the story while the ending is more symbolic/artistic on an emotional level and usually but not always character-driven. The opening will usually but not always contain reused art from the show itself while the ending will be made to wind you down of to touch on the feelings you just experienced in the episodes you watched. Usually a show will have one or possibly 2 openings per season but more often than not a season will contain more endings due to character-based songs or just variants/remixes of certain songs. Shows such as Chainsaw Man or Riddle Story of the Devil had only one opening each but the each had a different ending for every episode during the season (12 or 13 in total for each) but usually that many is extremely rare.

Don't worry, the video was 100% correct. Nothing fanmade in there. Anime endings can get a bit experimental since they're essentially the background for the end credits and thus not subject to as much attention as openings. (Well, openings can be experimental too, but for endings it's more of a rule than an exception.) The variety in artstyles is what keeps them interesting! Songs: Ending 1: Utsukushiki Zankoku na Sekai by Yoko Hikasa Ending 2: Great Escape by Cinema Staff Ending 3: Yuugure no Tori by Shinsei Kamattechan (also did opening 6) Ending 4: Akatsuki no Requiem by Linked Horizon (also did openings 1-3 and 5) Ending 5: Name of Love by Cinema Staff Ending 6: Shougeki by Yuko Ando Ending 7: Akuma no Ko by Ai Higuchi

The openings are like summaries of each seasons and the endings work like forshadowings (and AOT has AAA LOT of them). Also, the first and the last ending have a strong connection between them. You should watch them with subtitles to get what I mean.

First, I'm so happy youre checking these out and seriously considering watching, even if you dont film your reactions, its a great anime to expirence. You probably didn't feel like it was 7 because you didn't pause at the end of each one. You did miss the one from the final part, but that might be a good thing, the videos played with it can be very spoilery. Id just wait to hear it til the end. I understand your apprehension around how different they are from the openings, but theyre really the endings, dont worry. I didnt fully watch all the way through each ending until i got to season 4, at that point you will really understand the foreshadowing and emotional bonds the first few endings conveyed. Id also recommend, at some point listening to some english covers of these songs, the words hit deep once you watch the show. I hope you do, id love to be along for the ride one more time before the final episode drops this fall. This is one of my favorite shows, without giving spoilers the best thing i could say is: this is a show about war, read the information cards at the mid episode breaks, and remember your questions will be answered with more questions.

Openings are the songs that play at the start of an episode (you could also call them intros) and endings are the ones that play at the end (they’re basically the credits). Since AoT is a really dark and depressing but also epic fantasy show, the openings are mostly very fast paced and get you hyped. The endings, however, are rather slow and emotional to show a different side of the anime. Some other very dark and gory animes you should react to are “Re:Zero” and “Made in Abyss”.
@matiaspereyra9392 Жыл бұрын
This does not apply for aot endings entirely but usually openings for Accion animes will try to pump you up before you watch the episode, these might contain animated sections of a season with a bit more production OR they include fake spoilers to still pump you up but not spoil you, and the endings are meant to wind you down so that you can sit on what happened in the episode for a little bit, now this IS true of aot, with the exception that for endings other anime usually do "whatever" they'll show the main character walking, running, watching the stars, having a relaxing bath, Playing with people, those types of things as more mellow music plays, in aot tho sometimes they are meant to haunt/confuse you or make you not just sit with the episode's content but actively go through it to see if there was any new piece of information that could help you decipher whatever they are alluding to in the endings (while still being mellow) so that way you engage a bit more with the world and the potential storylines, although again this doesn't apply to every aot ending some endings are just for you to breathe and some are ambiguous enough that you will still try to run through what happened in the episode (although you definitely can see some conventional techniches such as the use of characters running, characters sinking into water, characters kinda just posing next to a wall, etc)

I'd say that generally the openings are supposed to hype you up for the episodes and then the endings are supposed to leave you with a feeling after that connects to the theme of the season/show usually some deeper aspect while the opening usually call to more of the surface/more visceral aspects. that being said i am not an expert just a lifelong anime watcher.

Okay, what the openings and endings are for is to show credits. Like if you watch a netflix show and it has some sort of opening thing where it shows credits while showing some visuals and playing a song. Anime just makes custom openings for each season and they usually have foreshadowing or spoilers or something to do with the show.

Endings are usually 90 seconds long just like the openings. You just didn't stop at the the end of each one. I recommend playlists rather than compilations, because you won't be as confused and learn both the song title, the band name and the season, that the ending is from. Next would be "under tree", which the ending for the most recent episode. That one didn't have an opening. Other than that, I'd like it if you watched some OSTs from Attack on Titan.

Wish you saw Under the Tree by SiM, I don’t know if it’s technically an opening or an ending but it played during the credits of the most recent Attack on Titan movie/episode thing released. First, i recommend doing chainsaw man op 1 and endings 1-12. Second, I actually advise that you get a friend who actually watches anime or someone you trust who watches anime, and get them to put together a playlist or a set of videos for you to react to. This way, you're not reacting to something fanmade like the demon slayer video since as you said you're new to the world of anime. So you're not quite sure whats real or not. This video was correct though, so no worries on that. Great reaction though!

If I could recommend any anime to watch, this would be the one. I might sound dumb, but I feel like if you're someone who likes to take in the deeper meanings and lessons from within stories, Attack on Titan has soooo much to offer. I have reflected and meditated on the story so many times over, and I literally feel lighter and changed my outlook on the world because of Attack on Titan. It really is a masterpiece, in my opinion. Although taking in the deeper messages and stuff may take a watch over or two to catch everything, honestly. It is a pretty complex story that doesn't hand-hold the viewer through everything.

Spoiler ahead plz ignore Season 2 and 7 itself are huge spoiled the characters are al lines up with walls behind them and positioned to see what alliange they trutly hold to the Wall. The guys from paradise are allon the sae strectch of wall talking ready to defended the wall while on the other side of said wall are the Marleyan soldiers aline and with conflicted looks but Berthold is the only one touching and facing the wall asif hes the one ready to break it down despite looking depressed about it Yimir is at the end cause shes an outsider too but Christa is with her instead on the other side because where Ymir goes there SHe is as her alliance is to Ymir, EVen on opening 4 the historia one we see cadets giivng their heart but only the ones that are dedicated perform the Salute over their heart, Ymir, Annie BErtohld and even some islanders their fist is offcenter and not over their hearts. On Opening 7 is very crucial because we saw Eran and MIkasa caged but then the cage shatters and he gets freedom and the images that we see are terrible, Cities of friends and foes in ruins, civilazations wiped out entirely until there isnt asingle life left on the world that now has been dead long nature has reclaimed. To Eren this is the cost of freedom for him the world must die for him to be free.

The endings arent liek the openings they are meant to bring up powerful emotions and contain hidden secrets for plot lines later in the story. The murals being the most important showing images that explain plots of things we dont get answer for until seasons later. The ones involving characters also show what side of the wall they are on and what positions they take againstthe wall or to it its meant to sybolice alliances, romance and bonds to other characters. All the questions you could ever have watching this show are in the endings answered plain as day but not until you are meant to understanding it. the last one was the most powerful ending as we see the kid caged unable to fly then the cage breaks and he is free and we see what freedom for the boy meant for the world. look at the places he sees that make him feel joy and happiness and think of that as the cost of freedom

It's one of the best parts, there are spoilers, but usually unless you've already see the show, you have no context, no idea what you're seeing, and there's so much odd ball off the wall craziness that it gets lost in the mix, until a season and a half later you see something that clicks into place and blows your mind.
