I'm with you nebula. Been 32 years working in the post office. The stories I could tell you will bring you to tears. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SUCH AN INHUMANE AS THE POST OFFICE.

your stories are lightweight compared to my stories in these hellhole processing plants, now it's better because more immigrants are inside now, rather than military service background blacks and whites.

@@matt7iron So they ran it like the military, when the supervisors were of military-service background. Sure those supervisors deserved to be shot, but not ordinary employees.

Someone told me this is where "going postal"comes from. God bless them. I knew someone that was supposed to go but she was running late.
@athenyx_e Жыл бұрын
thank the lord she was late. and yes the phrase going postal is indeed from this.

The other supervisor got lucky arriving 1hr late. Funny how HE was the one berating the shooter for not doing his job but HE arrives to work late whenever he wants. Ironic. Bill bland. America in a nutshell.

This was a tragedy that I remember in my childhood. I was 13. It was painful because I remember Edmond getting hit hard with tornadoes before they started migrating to Moore. I live in Yukon. Bless the families of the lost and the survivors of the shooting. My mother in law is still a mail carrier. Rural thank goodness!!

I’m looking at the photo at 0:35. I noticed that my dad is pictured here. He was 24 at the time. Left work early that day with the flu. He hasn’t taken a sick day since. He helped identify one of his coworkers. His good friend Tom.

Though I don't condone it, I UNDERSTAND why these shooters go bonkers in the post office. I've been here 30 yrs and it's hard to imagine a more toxic environment, with the most despicable management to bully and intimidate you...

It’s crazy how people can get so upset to kill people. I’ll never understand.. so sad 😢

Trust me. When someone lies on you and gets you fired when you have a big heart and would never do that to anyone. It’s very easy to get upset and want to fuck someone up.

@GhostGun I agree with you. You’re correct. It is wrong and ungodly and disgusting. Rage takes over and some people just blank out I guess. But that doesn’t make it right.

I'm a current postal worker and i can tell you most likely it was because of terrible treatment from management, which still goes on to this day. There needs to be a complete overhaul in the code of conduct and the way management is trained

I don’t like the word anniversary in this use, because it makes it sound like they are celebrating. But it’s good that people recognize this act of atrocity
@caveman3852 жыл бұрын
Anniversary is merely just a word for rememberence good or bad.

What’s not reported is that he was harassed and bullied by coworkers because his performance was not up to standards. I know what’s it like to take crap from coworkers, it’s not fun. Too often, low level immediate supervisors always make things worse. He took his own life because he knew he was going to be fired. People who curse Patrick Sherrill have no clue what’s it like to be humiliated. I myself had dark thoughts when I was mistreated at past jobs. When you lose your job, you lose your sense of identity and purpose in addition to financial ruin. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and I never acted on them but this could have happened to anybody. Having no one to confide to while being bullied is always a recipe for disaster. As long as people have this attitude that it’s OK to pick on someone smaller and weaker than you, it will always end badly. If only people learned to be kind to one another, we would not have these problems. Too often, bullies are miserable people who want to make smaller and weaker people as miserable as them and sometimes they end up picking on the wrong person.
