Should I sell my 800k townhouse in Montreal and move to Calgary? Cost of living is so high in Quebec now…

Only you can make that call. Calgary is pretty sweet though. 👌

“Working to just pay your bill.” Sad reality for Edmonton and I think it’s the same for the rest of the Canadian cities. 😢.
@AllThingsRealEstateКүн бұрын
As a whole, Edmonton is not that reality at all. It is a beacon of light, the last great stand in North America for an affordable (median household income to housing prices) market.

If you can afford to, calgary is bettet. But both cities are great

Totally agree. And I live in Edmonton. 🙂 If it wasn’t for my entire family here, I would strongly consider moving to Calgary.

The heart wants the mountains, but the mind sees the logic in more affordable living. 🙂

Mountains are important only if you don't have them by your side. 99% of your life you will spend on another important stuff anyways.
@AllThingsRealEstate12 күн бұрын
Can definitely agree with that because I live away from them. 😂 I have friends that live in Calgary and the mountains were a nice novelty at first, but have since wore off.

Calgary only. Edmonton is COLD like hell in winter. Calgary is not so bad plus we get chinooks. The mountains yes is another pro for Calgary. Calgary is closer to the USA too.
@AllThingsRealEstate14 күн бұрын
Pretty hard to disagree with any of that. 🙂

Edmonton is not that cold like he'll in winter man. Calgery will have more natural disaster as mountain near you!

@@usu336 the Edmonton Winters certainly are different than they used to be. It was raining yesterday! I’m born and raised in Edmonton and I don’t remember ever having rain in January as a kid. It was always -40 all January long. 😂

Don’t move to Alberta. It’s horrible. Stay in Ontario.
@AllThingsRealEstate13 күн бұрын
Alberta has led the country in net interprovincial migration (people coming from other provinces to Alberta) for the last 9 quarters. Maybe the provinces (a lot from Ontario) they are coming from aren’t so great either? 🤷♂️
