Wow, requested this just a few days ago and already got what I wanted :) Su-perb video, AGAIN, all the way from the stems (which I'd never heard of) to the delay automation (which I was subconsciously looking for for months). I agree that processing/arranging/building and releasing tension in different ways would make great topics for future videos!

One other trick is to let your vocal run through "mixed in keys" to get your key.... Very simple. Cool video 👍

The main challenge in this task is to identify the scale. Not always a chord progression starts from the tonic chord (probably, in the primitive EDM that is not the case). Most of people do not have perfect pitch and therefore will have to use song tabs or an audio transcriber.

Great vid - more detail would be worthwhile - I want to see some 'How To' examples on remixes and SoundCloud style Edits where you can't get the stems - I presume they replay some parts and there is a convert audio to midi option to help you along with working parts out

Remixing from stemps does not change the actual production/composing aspect so much when it comes to making a new track from scratch. How about remixing from a master exported track?, most of us are more likely to do it this way, so the video match the "Remix any Song" of your thumbnail.

Great question! There are a few options for finding stems: 1. Remix competitions (Google Search) 2. Beatport Stems 3. Splice.com has a few acapellas on there 4. Search on Reddit 5. Acapellas4u.co.uk has lots of acapella stems on there

You can bootleg (so sampling a section of the track) but you're options are more limited in terms of what's possible
