8:26 To be exact, this tune obviously is in key of D-minor (I III VI VII). Of course, chords stay the same 'cos it's parallel to F-major, but this certainly gravitates more to Dm than F.

Love your stuff Will. This is purely a question, I hope the tone isn't lost in text. But, along with your tutorials, do you have any songs, production credits or remixes etc, to your name? Just curious. We all know the saying, if you can't 'do', teach :P I was just wondering, it would add a lot of credence to the videos.

I used to produce much more but now my days are full of running EDM Tips and coaching or making these videos. Every time I sit down to write a track, I think "I could make. a video about this..." and that's the truth. Anyway, you should be able to find some of my tracks, I have my name on them :)

MDMA at a funeral... 🤣😝😵‍💫😂- roflmao... some days I suspect we are somehow related... but I digress. Those sus2 chords flirt a lot with mu-Major chords (1-2-3-5, inversions notwithstanding) you find in some jazz, and prominently in Steely Dan's work. Have those been utilized by any EDM artists of note? Esoterica, I know...

Honestly, I am on the verge of seizure with all the graphics flying across the screen, the flares, and the one second cuts. Its like a 15 second ShamWow commercial from the 2000s, but made much much longer. Im sure the lesson is good, but my brain tapped out after one minute.

I don’t mean to sound rude nor unappreciative for your great public service, but to be honest here, musicians that have been self taught and never took a musical lesson have had number one records and songs that charted well, I’m a firm believer that if the band of self taught musicians are good musicians and have been together for a long time (3+ yrs), they don’t need anything that you’re teaching, their ears and emotions will create a very enjoyable song. In fact, they’re less mechanical than you textbook guys. I actually have seen guys that knew what you know but played without any feeling, they were just playing what was on the sheet music, and it was awful! Jimi Hendrix, jimmy page, Eddie Van Halen, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Ernest Isley, and many many more famous musicians didn’t even know how to read music and didn’t know any theory, but they’re in the rockin roll hall of fame!!!! Basic chords strummed to what the musician feels will determine how good the song is, not how complex with theory it is. Theory heads write good songs, but so does the self taught musicians that don’t use technology of theory.
