In February 1987, a great lady died peacefully after 87 years of a rich life most of it dedicated to the creation of work of art in celebration of life and in tribute to the creative energies of the Jamaican people She was known to most as Mrs. Edna Manley, to her close friends and relatives as Ma Dee, to the world of art as Edna M which was how she signed many of her sculptures and drawings. This dance-work is dedicated to her memory.
