It’s very common for high school Italians students to do stages (internships) aboard with school. For example students can go live in Great Britain, France, Germany or Spain for (2weeks-6months) and while they are there they study, go to school and sometimes work 👍🏻

Nefeli Bouraza yes it’s a scene from 2x01 She’s going to study aboard for 6 months (in London) which is a pretty common thing to do if you’re a high school student in italy. For example my school allowed me to live and study in Ireland for 6 months last year.

I read the main reason is that the actress who plays Eleonora had to study all summer long, so she couldn't be the protagonist (in fact, they switched season 2 and season 3), but she said it's only for 6 months and since Edoardo asks her, "When will you leave AGAIN?", she'll be away only for few more months (I personally think 3 or 4) but she will be back for season 3, which is about her and Edoardo, I suppose!
