"You make me feel like my troubled heart is a million miles away" is by far my favorite line. I'm a 28 year old guy from the US. Played Pokemon since I was probably 8 or 9, spent a ton of time on it. The series was always with me, even into adulthood (though I took intermittent breaks periodically). Went through a lot of family issues growing up, music (playing guitar, bass, etc.) and video games is what I normally leaned on to escape most of it. Like most people, I grew very attached to the series, and harbor a ton of nostalgia for it. As an adult, I still play when I have time. A lot of people I've known never understood why I stick with Pokemon even as a grown man. They don't understand. The series and my music is what got me through the hard times growing up, and I could never give them up. The fact that this emotion and nostalgia that I've had is realized in this song- and literally what has been on my heart for so long being shared with the world in such a well executed song and production is just unreal. I cry everytime I listen to this song. I'm crying writing this comment. Thank you, Ed Sheeran. Thank you so much.

This is an amazing song. I'm 29 and Pokemon Ruby was the first game that I played way back when I was a timid 12 year old. Played Sapphire, Emerald, Heart Gold, Fire Red and Diamond after that through most of high school and college. Pokemon got me through a lot of hard times in life. Lots of people here due to Scarlet/Violet, this song fits the game's storyline really well.. I got Scarlet and the ending honestly made me emotional because of the loss I have faced in my life. This song is a resounding resolution to the series and how it has been the backbone to many people who grew up with the series. Also. Back when Pokemon was in its hayday (the mid and late 90s) they had a lot of very popular artists create songs for the movie soundtracks (they still hit). Honestly I'm really happy to see this part of Pokemon back, sorely missed and glad it was put to a game this time around.

Yeah same here I swear despite the frame rate issues and graphics this is the best Pokemon game ever since Pokemon sun and moon I played the main story and played the dlc for it man gamefreak u absolutely knocked it out of the park for gen 9 incredible story for Pokemon scarlet going to miss Gen 9 it was a really fun Pokemon game hadn’t had that much fun since sun and moon because imo gen 8 was absolutely boring but anyway and it looks like the next Pokemon game we are going to the unova region if u know what I mean if u played the dlc Pokemon Scarlet will always hold a special place in my heart absolutely loved this game ❤

I've been a long time Pokemon fan -- Pikachu was my first ever toy when I was a baby, now I'm turning 23 this December! I've followed the games from first generation up until the upcoming ninth generation, Scarlet and Violet, and have been the biggest fan of the anime! Ed Sheeran is my absolute favorite singer and seeing the two collab and produce this beautiful masterpiece makes me cry in happiness! I beat Pokemon Violet yesterday (after not playing for 5 months because of burnout) to cope with massive amounts of depression and anxiety (friends moving away, struggling to adapt to adult life, work, etc.) and when this song came on in the credits, I kid you not tears started welling in my eyes. This strikes such a chord for me and I'm sure plenty of others in our age range Not only do we have this history of Pokemon the video game - the unplugged experiences in life were just as amazing. Growing up, I remember going into the yard to play Pokemon (using our imaginations and a GIANT red medicine ball) with my next door neighbor. We truly bonded and escaped the realities of life in those moments. The scenes in this video where Pokemon are there but not really reminds me of all of the pretend moments playing that we had Pokemon in real life - those memories are just as vivid and real. When I was a kid, I could "see" them. My Growlithe was my best companion in our games. I honestly didn't realize how others might've -must have- experienced the same exact thing, unique to themselves. It was honestly a buried memory until I watched this collab video. Seriously - thanks for resurfacing those memories, Ed, they are SO precious to me.

Everything here reminds a lot of us of what we grew up with in the 90s, and how blessed many of us were to have such an amazing childhood. Seeing that reference to the first Pokémon movie reminded me of when I saw Donphan for the first time and had my mind absolutely blown, as the presence of the internet wasn't really the same as it is today. We all imagined having our Pokémon by our side as a child, and I'm sure we all entertained the idea of actually being in the anime, getting into all kinds of adventures, and now Ed is doing it on our behalf. I think the 90s generation is the last one that made sense. We are too connected to the world now. I think we all need to take a step back and live with just the people around us for a while. I grew up with 3 friends. One was my cousin and we did everything together from riding bikes for hours, the other was Brandon that had all the new tech and video games from his older brother, and then there was James, he had a hard life because his mom was a pos and his dad left early on in his childhood. He lived with his grandma and had a sister that I had the biggest crush on throughout my childhood. I never had a phone or the internet (except late 90s and that was dial up.) We had a lot of interesting characters to learn and grow from. They would just call us kid. They knew our names, but it was always, "Hey kid, what are you tearing up today?" I loved those very simple times.

This... the music video almost made me tear up as I felt what it means to be a life long Pokemon fan from it. I grew up during the age of the anime at it's highest peak, the games were new to the GB and you know, being a 90's kid, Pokemon was my world, I was in love with the series. I was so very much into the anime and Pikachu was an imaginary friend to me. This video brought back the feelings of that time, because I felt the way all the Pokemon were like in the video, were like, imaginary friends and the way that Pokemon has left an impact on our lives growing up, mine especially, I can't deny the emotional impact everything has brought. But also seeing the anime part of this video references the first Pokemon movie has everything I needed, because that's still my favorite Pokemon movie. I still even have the promotional cards that Burger King had to promote the movie with pictures from the movie. This video was worth the watch if you're a Pokemon fan and I love it.

I just finished Violet right now and I really couldn't help but tear a bit with the ending. How sad and hopeful it is at the same time, how each storyline ties rather nicely within itself and each other, and to top everything, this music that is filled with emotion, as what I can tell by listening to it. It's just beautiful.

I just finished it last night. The stories were perfect! The characters, Pokémon, and the music. It was the first time I cried with a Pokémon game. Then this song playing with the credits….just made me lose it even more. It was beautiful 🥹

Despite the serious issues with the game crashing and graphics looking pretty bad, I can confidently say that this is THE BEST Pokemon game I have played, and it's all because of the story. Arven's story was especially personally relevant to me.

Ed Sheeran definitely caught our hearts and minds with this. Even though Pokémon had ups and downs in every generation, I'm quite thankful for its presence in my life. Thank you for capturing the magic with this video Ed and everyone who worked on it!
