Nice, but i wish you could manually solve it. excel and financial calculators are not allowed in exam rooms at my school.

As I live in a world where both excel and financial calculators are not only allowed, but encouraged, I found this very helpful. Thanks.

too bad FINRA and NASAA won't allow you to use a financial calculator or excel in the exam

It's stupid to not allow financial calculators. Someone send the exam organizers this Ted talk: www.ted.com/talks/conrad_wolfram_teaching_kids_real_math_with_computers 106 human lifetimes of effort is wasted per day by students trying to do shit by hand that shouldn't be done by hand because educators don't get it.

I like the way you present it! Very easy to understand like your other videos. What are you using to present it? The different colours help a lot. Keep up the good work!

do u have to hold the bond till maturity to get the YTM?what if u decide to sell before maturity date?
@kaydeeamundson35346 жыл бұрын
I have a question so I have some homework, but I have no idea what the par value of this bond would be the question is PK software has 8.3 percent coupon bonds on the market with 22 years to maturity. The bonds make semiannual payments and currently sell for 110% percent of the par. I don’t know how to figure out the par of 110% and also nice video by the way!
@khanhphamgia1276 Жыл бұрын
It means the selling price is 110%, or 1.1 times the par value of the bond, and it is the number on the left side of the formula mentioned in the explanation

I still dont get it.so is interest rate and discount rate same or?

Hey, I have a question; why is the price of the bond 92,227 if the face value is 100,00? Might be a stupid question. Thank you.
@sankha2528383 жыл бұрын
The bond in given example in trading at discount... Probably because Fed has hiked the interest rate after the launch of this bond.. So, it's price decreased
