I feel like when Oneil Cruz got injured he just came back as elly de la cruz because they both have insane power, speed, and arm strength, plus they are both freakishly tall and im pretty sure they are both Dominican.

@@calvinriley7048I disagree. Cruz has a good arm and is speedy and that’s about it. Cruz is pretty horrific when it comes to producing at the plate and he is an average fielder at best. Ely not only bats on both sides of the plate but he has great power and contact on both sides. And then fast, aggressive, strong arm on top of all of that. They are not even close to the same.

Elli has the fastest unrecorded throw for an infield assist in MLB baseball at a whopping 105.6 miles per hour , from third base to first base now that’s very impressive .

Don't hit the ball anywhere near him. His range is incredible. His arm is a lethal weapon. The best thing about De La Cruz is he's a rookie, which is the most frightening thing I said all day.

He's going to be a great one. Fastest runner in baseball. Strongest infielder arm - ever.
@Jay_Force_One2 ай бұрын
I don’t know about the strong infield arm ever. I mean I guess that depends on how you’re defining “strong”. He has the highest RECORDED velocity thrown on an MLB infield, but even then it’s a technicality because Mason Winn has that highest infield velocity ever thrown in baseball. It just wasn’t on an MLB field. However, both of those dudes and few others throw hard just to throw hard. There are plenty of other fielders who are capable of reaching those velocities as well if they really wanted to. Matt Chapman, Nolan Arenado, Bobby Dalbec, Tatis Jr are just as capable as Ely.

He's not even close to being the best player on the team. He's about 9th. Can't hit, can't field, 100% strike-out rate with 2 strikes on him and he's getting caught stealing. He's had a shit start to the season.

@@elbob17 I haven't seen him this year, but I wouldn't worry. That's a fine piece of clay to mold something out of. 22? Still just a baby.

Ella de la cruz feels like a MLB The show Player with everything maxed out, arm strength of 95+ mph, batting average on ball speed exit is around 105+ MPH with an AVG of 450 FT for every home run, and the reflexes for being a short stop is just wonderful 🫱🏻🫲🏽
@Jay_Force_One3 ай бұрын
Yeah pretty much. It’s hard to come by a player who is insanely fast, has a strong arm and switch bats with power on both sides of the plate. Probably going to be a generational player. His only real shortfall is fielding. He is an average fielder at best in comparison to the rest of the league at his position. On the other side of that though, he can play 3B, SS, and 2B and transition between them pretty effortlessly. Honestly, he could probably play 1B or CF if they really needed him too.

Yep, ONE flash of defensive brilliance followed by 2 to 3 reckless hot dog & bone head errors costing the Reds plenty. Oh, that doesn't include striking out 50% of the time with a huge hole in his swing from both sides of the plate. So, as a Reds fan, I dearly wish the Cards had him in their uniform.
