I don't think that changing her look and style was a good decision on Demi's part cause she was already ready as she originally was. The raw sensuality of her voice and the innocence of her face was what drew people to her and demi kinda ruined that.

Sadly I loved and respected Demi so much before I watched this season with Jennel, I was so disappointed in the coaching Jennel got, her light just faded into nothingness, I don't know if it was intentional on Demi's part or if she genuinely thought she was doing Jennel justice, but the proof is in the pudding as they say

She sings that she loves rock and roll....with an uninteresting pop voice and a few r&b melissmas (vocal acrobatics) to try to show us she can sing high notes....and yet, the essential problem is that this song isn't made for that. The styles don't match, it sounds weird. This is a rock song with zero vocal variations and zero high notes because it's made for girls with very low voice, and the ONLY fucking interesting thing you can do here is to do the typical raspy rocker voice. But no, this girl can't do the rasp, so she removed the only interesting element this song has, and she removed the rock element from a song that says "I love rock n roll". TOTAL FAIL.

It's always a huge risk when singing a legendary song by a legendary singer that you'll be compared unfavorably. Here is no exception. I'm sorry but no one is going to come near to Joan Jett's rendition of this song. I love Jennel's original audition, but this... poor choice of songs, and outfit/wig/dye job too.
