Not really because I have some land & I hunt on it but my neighbors have land adjacent to mine and often times the deer are passing through past my deer stand & if the opportunity of a nice buck or doe comes in front of me I take the shot . Here's the thing Ted had huge amounts of land not only in Michigan but in Texas as well so even though it has fences to keep the game he hunts in you still have to wait for something to wander by you to take the shot & even he has said that he doesn't always get the shot because the game hadn't come by . He doesn't track them by any tracking devices and he finds a place to sit & waits for the opportunity & even then he has said that he had gone out for days and days without shooting anything because the opportunity wasn't available or it wasn't what he wanted to harvest and that alone shows you how much land he has & how he selects the right ones to take which would be the older ones so that the younger ones can grow up & breed and then the old ones get selected for harvest so the cycle keeps going . If a area doesn't get hunted then there's going to be a over population of animals and then there will be diseases as well as deaths from this besides them getting hit by car and trucks and killed plus this also causes insurance rates to climb because of people hitting deer & their cars trucks getting damaged from this & insurance paying out for these damages which causes everyone's insurance rates to climb . So it goes way beyond what your actually thinking about.
