Exelente information Jen, bien detallada e informativa. Algo que me gustaria agregar a tu valiosa informacion es la Universidad de El Salvador y la UCA ambas instituciones son reconocidas internacionalmente. Con lo que respecta a la UES todas las carreras de grado, sin importar de donde provengas, gozan de gratuidad no se cual seria el procedimiento con lo relacionado a estudiantes internacionales pero me imagino el costo no es mucho. Continua con el buen trabajo, y qui te dejo my contribucion con my "like"👍

Just a small clarification, most schools (at least the international ones) have a “matricula” that you pay at the beginning of every school year (approx the cost of a month of tuition) as well as the more significant cost that you pay when first enrolling. I’ve heard it called a “bono de entrada” but there may be other terms for it as well.

Hi Jeni, it is Charity, you mentioned that public schools only go to grade 9. And I think high school is just grades 10-11. Since we moved here I decided to homeschool my kids this year as I don't yet have the funds to put them somewhere expensive but are there public high schools near Lourdes, are they all over the country actually. We don't know if we'll stay here long term and yeah traffic is a concern. One of my boys is in grade 9 and the other in grade 10. If I keep homeschooling them here until grade 11, how do they get into a university? Also my younger son has autism and can find it hard to participate in traditional schools anyway and gets upset rather easily. I have so many questions LOL!

It depends where you want them to go to college. If they’re going to go to a school in Canada or the states or the UK check out the schools that have international certifications. They don’t necessarily have to be an international school. The bicultural schools are cheaper and have some international accreditation.

@@hagenaarsfamily public schools have all grades until, graduate from high school, but there is private school, that have different monthly payment, Christian school are very good, children have amazing education. And monthly payment is not much.
