soul corridor is a link beteween the souls of rimuru and the people he names. he can communicate and establish a connection that no one can interfere with. through it he can grant them skills souls and communicate with them.

No spoilers but season 3 should still be good too I just forgot there was some stuff before it but labyrinth might be 4th or 5th season if It gets there (but it should cause everyone likes it)

Rimuru shared his skill to his subordinate (based on their affinity with the skill, like Benimaru getting the Black Flame and Ranga getting the Black Lighting). And Rimuru also receive all skills from all his subordinate, then Great Sage will sort them out, combine them into a more efficient and powerful skills.

I get that Shion is not in the top 3 but just to give you some perspective on how ridiculous her power actually is. Raphael initially denied Shion's awakening at first, because she said that if shion were to evolve she could possibly kill Rimuru. It's the reason that she was one of the last among the patrons to fully evolve. Raphael wanted to make sure Rimuru wouldn't die if Shion went rogue after her evolution.
