I really appreciate how often you mention when something is out of your control and you cannot do anything about it. It helps because it can be stressful to watch U2GM and feel like literally every loss is my fault because I am just bad, but if I think I am literally just supposed to 1v5 diff the other team every game it is not the correct takeaway. You are helping teach that you can carry but it doesn’t mean every lost team fight or loss in general is your fault. That helps me to focus on getting better without losing my mind. Cheers bro

if your team died and its still 1v5 i dont think you have a real people in your team or you doing something wrong, you punish their attempts to kill your teammates or you kill hoping you'll kill their backline faster than their tank kills your backline

Why don't you shoot the pylon, sym turrets or focus mercy? Is it more beneficial to keep pressure on the enemies you know you can hit and make sure you're getting sustain?

Yes mauga loses a lot of sustain if he's not shooting a health bar you need to focus a single target a don't break focus unless necessary Panicking and spraying several people will get you killed but prioritizing one target and burning them down keeps you alive and gets you a pick

I'd say that if you have the opportunity (aka have armor and Cardiac on standby) then you can shoot at deployables and pharamercy. :]

Pylon is a no brainer unless Illari or her team is directly in front of you. Destroying the Pylon erases half of Illari's value, so if you can, absolutely try to destroy it.

Even if you dont fully destroy pylon, just setting it on fire usually helps alot

Guys, turn on 'show accuracy' under your Mauga crosshair settings. Using both guns at range is not enough dmg for your passive + overdrive.

and also burns your ammo really fast, and without ammo mauga aint doing anything its sometimes good to not even shoot both guns even up close, just set on fire and then use crit gun only, and shoot fire gun few times every few seconds to just keep fire on, it does less damage burst but more overall

Hey bro this vid came just in time! Came back to overwatch after a long hiatus with the intent of 1 tricking Mauga despite being a support player. Having seen his potential to dominate I had to see what that was like. I always assumed he was brain dead but now actually being behind the wheel he’s got a lot more nuance than people realize and while I admit I’m bad at tank overall as a role probably, Mauga is by no means “free” and you can get checked pretty damn hard

I almost finished the entire ~8 hours video but then came the Mauga's nerf 😭 do we play him the same against the buffed dps' passive and Mauga's -50 armor? not to mention Orisa's buff cus I don't want another nearly unkillable horse meta. Like at least Mauga is easier to kill 😔

1:48:16 ofc you did decent here but all the game you charged doom and he killed your squishies without any punish (you didnt had ana or zen) also always charged doom maked your kiri hold suzu for her and other squishies. Dont charge doom unless you and your team can kill him, he'll be full in 3 seconds, engage and fk up someone behind you and you cant really stop him as mauga.

That's basically the reason Mauga alone is good but it's because of Juno being that he got lifted up to meta because rally and orbital make mauga so much tankier since orbital gives damage boost which increases maugas sustain in all parts and brig with stun and rally helps mauga to brawl more on top of the fact she can protect him with shield so if he can't sustain he won't die as fast Combo the fact cardiac and orbital ray stack and you get Damage boost, flat heal rate, Life steal, and damage reduction Plus rally can add a little more It's basically just flooding like 5 rings of stats together with a reaper blossom too

This is going to sound weird but Venture follows the same cooldown usage as Doom, you always want to have a cooldown to escape. I see a lot of ventures using dig and drill in the middle of the fight then they are just vulnerable. So there is a starter tip for you, save at least one cooldown to get out.

Flaming your healers when they are getting dove without peel 24/7 is kind of crazy, specially when they are still having the highest amount of healing on the lobby. Also flaming your teammates for not switching to your specific support after doing a one trick tank support account lol, crazy what some of you guys would blame on your teammates.

i wouldnt say that mauga is strong in soloq but he can exist as any other hero untill sig ana junk arrives unlike hazard or dva he really struggles to make opening picks, leaving your fate to your dps
