Hi, The session is very informative. I have got a question... As secondary name node does its job at regular intervals,If the name node fails suddenly, what happens to editlog(new) in the name node ... Will it be lost?

The name node failure is very rare. In case it fails, the edit logs will never be missed. In fact, they will be stored in a buffer, and this data will be loaded back to the Name node when it gets back online and functional.
