Håkon Austbø is amazing! I highly recommend his recordings of Grieg's complete Lyric Pieces, as well as his Messiaen, Debussy, Scriabin, and Brahms!

Yes it's a superb construction... and the sonic effects of the harmonies are as well realised as Debussy or Ravel... they can really create extraordinary colours if played right. Reflections, of reflections....

Grieg's late works are marvels... this is a set with several jewels, including 'Night Ride' and 'Lualat'. On a par with late Liszt... perhaps
