I think an RR boost after resets would be a good idea. Sure maybe you have some newer players a bit higher up than they maybe should be but if they aren’t able to stay there they will de rank back down anyway. And maybe you only apply the boost to iron - diamond. Just some sort of buffer that encourages iron players to keep progressing. And gets plats and diamonds out of the gold rank pool. So maybe we can get silver and gold back to where they should be in terms of the skill floor. Because right now I believe it’s a bit too high. Quite honestly as a peak plat player I’m smurfijg in silver lobbies at times and I’ve got to r other team asking why they’re playing against me and I’m literally on my main. There needs to be some buffer to account for the two rank reset.

@policarp0 this is a non sequitur. Anyone who has watched Plat Chat for more than 2 months knows how highly everyone ranks Aspas, and the Brazilians in the scene. All year, they have been singing the praises of Aspas and his impact (discussing the idea that he took Lev from consistently underperforming to elite, while also pointing out that Loud has struggled without his presence) Hell, I’m sure everyone remembers the pedestal Furia was placed on last year after a single good match at the start of Split 1. Anyone who’s followed Plat Chat for an actual length of time knows that this has nothing to do with Aspas being Brazilian. Bren and Sideshow have been the two biggest voices in the scene discussing the incredibly difficult isolating experience that has been VCT Americas for the Brazilian and Latam players.
