I agree. It has some issues, not least that it tries a little hard to riff on Chinatown (no bad thing really) and its a bit too convoluted, but I was impressed nevertheless. And hey, directing and starring is bloody hard work I imagine so fair play to him. I have a lot of time for Norton.

That story he tells about Milos Foreman is important for anyone to take heart. That man has a completely different perspective about what's difficult to do and the mindset of not allowing certain issues to stop what the fuck you want to do or accomplish. I'm all about that story right now.

Milos Forman seemed more relaxed trying to deal with his movie almost being shut down by the big wigs, than dealing with Jim Carrey taking on Andy Kaufman's personality during the entire production of Man on the Moon.

That was hard to watch. Jim Carrey has such a good heart, but he is not in a good place. He took it too far during a bad time. Hope he gets better.

Interesting story about Milos Forman. I'm thinking when you lose your parents to the Gestapo, it certainly puts other things into a very clear perspective.
