Cardboard, papier mache, kitchen scouring pads, card-making miniature flowers & other assorted objects went into this representation. A piece of thin hardboard was used as the base. This was easy to poke holes in for the flower-wire to go through. The scouring pads were cut with scissors to represent Edward's topiary, and dabbed with enamel paints for added 'colourful flowers'. Other small pieces of ornamental shapes usually used for 3-D card-making were incorporated into the building, along with plastic wall plugs and wooden pegs from discarded furniture.
