Saw this movie in the theater. Much better on the big screen. It's been a while since I've seen this movie but my take on it was Edward cut through the town's everyday ho hum boredom by giving its residents a much needed boost of fun and creativity. They feared his scissored hands only to be later marveled by his creations of ice sculptures and hedge trimming art. Sadly, Edward's creator died before he could finish him; giving him his hands. By the way, this was Vincent Price's last film before he died. And, yes, he was a wonderful actor of horror. The music score is one of my favorite aspects of the film. Danny Elfman hit the mark by giving the film's music a story book feel to it.
