Edward Taylor plays Exultemus (Seven sketches) by P. Whitlock

Edward Taylor plays Exultemus, the fourth of the Seven Sketches on verses from the Psalms of David. This piece uses verses 1 - 3 of Psalm 81 as inspiration:
1 Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
2 Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
The music is very uplifting and utilises the Tuba, symbolising the rams horn

The instrument certainly is great to play! So versatile for any genre but also perfect for accompanying but can still pack a punch in solo work. Still finding new combinations after 14 years!
