Edward to the Rescue / Henry Holds Back

Whilst the remaining stories are being worked on I thought, why not, let's give these 40th Anniversary stories the double feature format... these will be edited together (in episodic order) gradually as the remaining episodes are completed...
Edward awaits his new paintwork, but with Thomas absent from the yard can he manage the work alone? / Henry's first chance of the Express is set back as he performs poorly, but can he hold back his temptation to show the new engine what he's capable of?

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you recreating the original UK double features the way they would have aired in 1984 and 1986. As an American, I didn't see the episodes from Series 1 & 2 that way until I was well into adulthood, but I wish I had. Thank you for your efforts to recreate and recapture the feel and spirit of TTTE&F in its original form.

⁠@@livesteam125 You know, the UK and US versions of the actual series actually had differences in soundtrack (outside of the obvious narration). So you redoing instrumentals for a US dub would almost make it feel like the actual show. Just a thought, mind you.

If you're talking about Edward and Gordon, you're wrong. Edward to the Rescue takes place the day after Edward and Gordon.

Where does it say he was to take goods as punishment? What if he was to be relegated to slow passenger trains? If there was an express due the next day, it would be Henry handling the work, but it would start raining, and Henry would hide in a tunnel, and Gordon would be relieved of his slow passenger/goods train later that day (Thomas and/or Edward would finish the job) and take the express the rest of the way while Henry was bricked up in the tunnel.
