I heard him play numerous times, and he was very good, but l had no idea how good until recently. I can't believe a human being is playing this type of difficult music.

With most extended technique showcase pieces, the double-tonguing, circular breathing and extreme ranges, speeds, etc. are up front, leaving a piece of music that makes you think “why did I bother?” This one, however, is actually kind of interesting. Oh well... at least i made it to the end. That says the piece wasn’t all that bad. Nice playing.
