Based on this video, I bought a CarABC unit from Amazon. Following the instructions in this video, I was able to install this unit in my 2017 Prius, with no trouble at all. I'm very happy to say, that it works great..! I'm now able to use Android Auto in my Prius. Thanks for posting this video..!!!

I just installed my module from carABC for my Toyota ch-r but all the menu looks a little different except for me main menu. I can’t use wired connection CarPlay. When I select CarPlay connection. It only says to activate Bluetooth and wifi on my phone. Weird… Also after a while of use, the screen starting bugging. I mean there was a kind of blinking lines in the middle of the screen. May be I’m working in an old firmware

This video was very helpful , just installed in a 2018 Prius and works great. The Bluetooth pairing code never did display on CarPlay but I still accepted and it connected. I have the WiFi antenna and the USB port pulled through into the glove box but not using it, if I was I would run Bluetooth cable out closer to the center console. Thank you for posting!

Hello! I have a doubt. Were you able to identify whether, when you use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, during a call, which microphone is enabled? Whether from the stereo or from the cell phone?

In my case it still uses the built in micro. Made a test call today and did place the cellphone a few meters away from the car and closed the doors. The opposite could hear me well.

Update: I just installed it few days ago and can confirm that it works in mine, Fujitsu Panasonic radio none-entune version. It’s perfect but resolution is not.

The Quality sound only change using the “aux” and device? But if i return menu and Connect to the original bluetooth system radio is always the same original sound quality? Althoug carabc is connected?

Big thanks for the video! Due to your video, the installation was really simple, though I have the Euro pre-facelift version of the prius, that differs in some tiny bits. Initially I was only a little bit "shocked" by the low Resolution. Of course it's caused by the display, but I never noticed that before as I didn't use the screen much. Greetings from Europe, Austria.

I have Prius 19 LE that has no Entune, would this work? Also, would it be possible to use the inbuilt aux usb by using an adapter instead of throwing the usb in the glove box? Pls suggest a good one if there is any.

Thanks for this video. This is the first one I've seen connecting this device to a Toyota radio that looks exactly like the one I have in my 2017 Corolla LE. My factory radio also doesn't have "Home" or "Apps" functionality so I was worried that it wouldn't work. I honestly don't know if mine is Entune 2.0 or regular or whatever. Hi ! Are you still using it ? I tried to install the same box from CarABC for my Toyota CHR. I had a bad experience. The screen was randomly scrambled while using carplay. Make it unusable. I’m waiting for a replacement box but i hope that isn’t a general issue..

Yup still using it and it works. Sounds like a bad connection for one of the plugs into the AV part...or overheating?

Radio works but not at the same time as CarPlay audio. You can only do one or the other

It's not as sharp as my phone, but it's readable. I use Spotify and Google Maps daily, and find those readable/useful.
