@@oldtimer666it is a bright mic I can send u links if u wanna hear it but as good as it is I no usually save it for acoustic guitar and female vocals as for male and my own I recently got an oc which is cheaper but it has that 1 or 10k bite in between an 87 and 800g. We makes me now debate between the 67 and 800g. The 800 sounded pretty dead to me but not in a bad way. In my opinion, a big issue with these comparisons is the changing distance from the capsules. You get different characters because of proximity and room tone at various gain stages. I think you should stick with a fixed position marked with the pop filter to ensure getting objective sound samples of these products. Otherwise great content, thank you!

okay, so I put on my studio quality headphones, and listened very closely to those vocal samples both wet and dry.... thats how you can REALLY hear the difference, and I REALLY did... what I found out is the one that really stood out is the WA-14... it stood out with its sound and price point.... it was nice and open, cuts thru the mix, it sounds like a microphone that costs more than what it actually does, another one is the WA-251 (oh my God) the warmth, the character you get outta that one this one is soooo awesome... make sure your room is well treated for this mic (listen when he doesnt sing, you can hear alot of background noise), the WA-47 surprised me, because I originally thought that microphone wasnt for my style of vocal and music background, but now I reconsider, damn good sound out of that one.... lastly, the WA-8000 is what it says it is... as soon as the clip both wet and dry kicked in, you can hear that open, clear, but warm vocal cut thru like butter... the ones I didnt mention doesnt mean I didnt like them, they ALL sound awesome, but those ones I mentioned stood out for me, and I might be making a purchase for that WA-14 and see how it works for my rap/hip-hop/R&B type vocals, I need one mic to work all around and build from, this one might be it..

For recording pop vocals the WA 8000 is a no-brainer. It had far more top end sparkle that was still smooth that lends itself to that genre for live use and a more natural true to life tone for me WA 47F was the clear winner with its note weight in the low register, creamy mids and perfectly attenuated, smooth high-end. to me the 47F put your voice in the center of the music.

Wouldn't you know it? I've never used any of these mics, yet I seem to prefer precisely the ones already in my wishlist. 47, then 87, then CX12, then 251, then 47jr, then 14. My least favorite was the 8000, it has a weird bump in the high mids that doesn't sound natural to me. The 67 is too dull and dark, and the 47F has too much low end and not enough clarity. It's beefy. Which would be great for certain guitars and bass, I suppose, just not lead vocals. Excellent demonstration! It was incredibly helpful.

wow, in this video, perfect "wooden boxes" are presented (in reality, they have a plastic layer that only looks like wood). The boxes for the WA-47 that I bought were full of dents and damage, so I sent the first delivery back to the dealer. When the second one was just as bad, I gave up complaining and accepted that Warm Audio obviously cannot deliver better quality. Now, however, I am astonished that in this video there is no visible damage to the "wooden boxes". What a wonderful world full of surprises!!! But I am of the opinion that Warm Audio should present the products in advertising videos the way they actually deliver them in reality!!

I was thinking about getting the wa-8000. And now, I don’t think I will. Hmmmm. The 14 is better imo. For that crisp high. And then the 251 for warmth. Thinking of getting the tonebeast(emphasis on thinking about it) or the mpx and the 73 EQ. Can add the warmth there instead of chalking out so much for the mic. Still gonna sit in my decision cause it seems that with AI, and all these companies giving away so many high end plugins, or either for super cheap, I think emulation might finally be on par coming up with whatever they have up their sleeve. So might just get a couple mics, upgrade my interface(RME I’m thinking, maybe Apollo) and just wait and see. Still kinda want that VCA style bus channel strip tho. I get wildly good deals on WA so that’s why I’m kinda stuck in their products. And they seem alright, if you don’t A&B them with what they are cloning. But that’s no problem. I’m not an established and wealthy engineer by any means. Good video tho. Straight to the point.

Hi .... I wanted to ask you what your real thoughts are regarding the low range (20hz-300hz) of the WA-8000 Warm Audio microphone. Let me explain: I seem to understand that it's certainly not as full as the Sony on the low frequencies but those that the Warm Audio is able to steal are still sufficient? Do you think that you can get enough information to correct any lack of low frequencies where necessary? Are the high frequencies always nice or are they sometimes a little too sharp (harsh)? If you had to choose between the WA-8000 and the WA-251 (I really like this too), which one would you buy? One last question if you allow: Is this microphone (WA-8000) only suitable for recording male or female voices in the field of Rap Music, Hip Hop Music and similar styles or is it also valid for other musical genres? Thanks for any useful information about it and congratulations for the video !! PS: Sorry for all the questions I asked you but I'm very undecided about buying one of the two models I mentioned.
