Well, i think they have warmer sound, maybe they are better for music listening but i dont know how accurate sound they produce (not saying that the presonuses do).

You should try the Abacus Electronics C-Box 3. It’s a compact speaker, yet the bass reaches down to 35 Hz, and you can clearly hear those low frequencies. The sound is incredibly clear with a very flat frequency response. The C-Box 4, its "big brother," goes even deeper, down to 30 Hz. Abacus also makes the Cortex 6, which reaches an impressive 16 Hz! I’ve tested both, and I own the C-Box 4 myself. It’s amazing how deep the bass goes and how clear the sound remains.

Im kinda impressed by the sound of these new CR3.5's to be honest! I was not a huge fan of the original line but these do have a nice little boost in SQ compared to the prior that sounded flat and dull. I will say even for general audio listening, under$100? not too shabby. I'm personally a fan of the better color/clarity the Presonus offer if I want something cheap to use as reference monitors for studio work.

I won't buy another Mackie speaker. It has issues with a lose connection since I first got it. I didn't realize it at first because the volume was always kept low, and then once getting volume up to about mid way, the static and drops offs began. I had it four months before the first time I plugged in the headphone jack which never worked. I'm disappointed. I now have a set of Yamahas that are a far better studio monitor.

How are these compared to M-Audio BX5 D3?
@EdwardSmithMusicАй бұрын
I would go with the BX5's because they have a bigger cone which will result in getting more low end.

If you are looking for music production and mixing purposes, definitely headphones… otherwise these are good for general use.

I still don't get why a lot of you guys who review music equipment especially speaker doesn't have a stereo X/Y microphones portable recorder to record these and instead relying on a crappy mics then showing us a monoral reference?.... I mean it's not that much expensive to buy one and will improve the review experience having it because you can actually show in stereo, even a cheap pair of MXL pencil mic will improve the audio.
