We owned a Suzuki shop when I was a kid. The bikes came from Japan packed in a similarly-shaped crate, but instead of metal, the structure was made of 1x1" mahogany wood and full-sized formed Styrofoam panels. In addition, everything was wrapped in these huge, wide, rubber bands. They were at least a 1/2 inch wide (some were wider, some slimmer) and they were glorious in rubber band fights with my brother. We used them for everything as a kid. This was in the 1971 through about 1980.

15:33 dude slow things fast vs fast things slow. Thats definitely the truth. I also love pitbikes and things that are too small. Up until a few years ago, id still ride my old Honda Z50R that i grew up riding, occasionally. Absolutely slow, only 3 speeds. But you could ride it wide open 100% of the time and theres just something so satisfying about keeping something pinned, even if youre not going REALLY fast. 😎

you should tune these before testing, change good oil, adjust valves and theyre probably lean from the factory so bigger injector
@goosenotmaverick115616 күн бұрын
A break in period with the Chinese stuff tends to do it a lot of good. I bought basically a pallet of some small 2 strokes and they ran like garbage out of the box. They were actually tending to be rich and needed the break in before they ran properly. It seems to me the lower quality control makes break in more of a neccesity with these things. Like you said, oil change, valve adjustment after a bit of run in, etc. Im not saying you're wrong on the lean part, they probably are. Just giving my own experience with engine stuff from China and the quirks.
@Endorzan16 күн бұрын
@@goosenotmaverick1156 yeah and of course break in is always good and you should always do it, but this guy probably doesnt have the time.
@goosenotmaverick115616 күн бұрын
@Endorzan 100% I agree, he's probably time limited. I totally get that and don't fault him a bit. Between everything for GrindHard and doing this on the side, I have no doubts this man is BUSY. But it does make a difference and may help with his overall satisfaction with the products. So it would be nice to see him give it a go with one and see how it compared before and after a "break in" type treatment.
@goosenotmaverick115615 күн бұрын
@Endorzan for example, the same engine before break in, I could do maybe 25mph, 30 given enough space. After break in, same fuel, same oil mix, same machine entirely, I managed 46mph on the same stretch that prior to break in, I had hit the 30mph ish mark. It made massive difference in my case, so I try not to overlook it when possible. It's not as neccesary with products with higher level quality control and such, just due to tighter more consistent tolerances. But these Chinese, epic quantity production engines just have to be treated a bit differently due to the different manufacturing mindset.
@Endorzan15 күн бұрын
@ yeah thats very true, and im pretty sure that the oil is meant just for storage not for actually running the engine with it.

Front brake line needs to be in front of all the other cables and in front of the number plate. Then caliper routes between the forks so the hose isn’t on the outside where it can get snagged. Common mistake but this is on every bike

And I do take my pit bike on hilarious adventures all the time. It’s just so fun. Adding 70 weight gear oil to forks and a heavy rear bbr shock makes a world of difference. But definitely will always have a place in my heart for the pit bikes. You can make small areas a ton of fun where my “250” would be stuck in 1/2nd gear.

The horizontally mounted 4 strokes aren't as good sorry to say. Inferior oiling on the top side of the piston is one reason and water splashing on the cylinder head is kind of a bed for early death. A turbo will kill this design fairly quickly. But hey you get what you pay for $1000 is the price of a used children's dirt bike where i live. If you turbo it, don't be fooled i will be watching in a state of enthusiasm. As usual Edwin does a great job 👍.
