We were walking around the French Quarter 10+ years ago. Walked through a nice hotel idk the name, but there was a woman sitting on a couch of the hotel lobby. We all noticed how strange she looked, she looked like a manakin but also looked like a person at the same time. She seemed to always be looking at you without moving her head or anything. We all walked by her and I went back to throw something away and she was gone!! NO WAY could she have even gotten up much less get out of the hotel lobby. I will never ever forget that. That’s just one of many many stories I have.

The LaLaurie mansion was turned into apartments and one of my older coworkers had a friend that lived on the 3rd floor. She spent a few nights there, and had the worst nightmares. Her friend told her the story. The friend eventually had to move out. She couldn’t stand to live there. Apparently the apartment was beyond beautiful and the courtyard is one of the best in the city.

We visited New Orleans a few yeras ago and it was an amazing experience. We booked 2 different ghost tours, one during the day and one at night. The first tour was ok but the guide seemed bored and not very passionate about the stories. The 2nd one was very cool. He told the stories with with some emotion and you just kept listening. Very cool experience. This lady has also a cool and genuine way to tell the stories. If you're in New Orleans and you try a tour like this, don't hesitate to do a second one. It's always a little different depending on the guide ⚜ loved the city

I wish I could show you. I took a picture of a streetcar and inside the car is tons of apparitions. There is a woman sitting down "living person" and sitting next to her is a man wearing a red shirt and hat. She was the only person on the car. You can see through him and also see numerous shadow people. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE New Orleans. It will always be my heart and soul.

Debi Dooms 6 months later is probably too late, but one of the major street scams is for people to bet you they can tell you where you got your shoes ... don’t lose your money, because you got your shoes on your feet on the streets of New Orleans. Nawlins is a wonderful town and the people are awesome, but it definitely has a very dark side.

What a brilliant guide! Being able to see recordings of people's tour experiences makes me want to go more! I don't live in the U.S. so that's another reason I'm grateful for these recordings if I'm unable to ever go on these tours, but coming from across the Atlantic (I'm Danish, we live in Denmark and I'd have to prepare my husband and our sons for the heat - we're not good with heat) it's easier to make the decision to go on a tour like this, if I have some idea of what it's about.
