Great tutorial Eeco, it just could not have been made simpler. Anyone that can't pick it up from this should consider putting their piano on E-Bay. I already play this but was missing a few tricks. As they say..your never too old to learn. Best regards.

Excellent, Eeco. Having small (female) hands I am having to simplify the chords by leaving the bottom note(s) off but that is fine. Also it gives a chance to add a Bb to the C opening chord and an F to the G chord at the end of the first phrase to make things sound more minor. As you say - make it your own. Love the riff at 10.41.

Thank you again :) and yes. You can take notes, play it like me, but at the end of the story everybody should develop their own style. Each person is different with an own way of playing, touch, dynamics. I am giving a direction to what is possible and I am happy to hear all the feedback so thank you! :)

nice show Eco, .in the first part, the sixt right hand chord: should that not be a CFC chord instead of CEC chord? I think it sounds nicer with the F in the left hand..

Why does nobody do tutorials on how to play ragtime? I'm finding it very hard to find how to play the stride part in the left hand. You don't have a book on how to play ragtime do you?
@eecorr10 жыл бұрын
danny13234 Hi Danny, after the Swanee River pianotutorial part 2, I can make a lesson with stride piano if that would help you or give you a bit of a direction and no sorry I don't know any books for playing ragtime/stride piano. If anyone has suggestion please respond. Thank you, eeco
@Danny_UK10 жыл бұрын
Eeco Rijken Rapp Yes a video on playing ragtime and stride piano would be very very helpful to me thanks. You should do a book I would happily buy it and so would many others :) thanks.
@eecorr10 жыл бұрын
danny13234 Yes I am thinking of doing that. There's a new video with ragtime and stride piano. I hope it will give you a bit of idea what the difference is. Thank you !
