Very helpful, I just started with Altium to produce a product I'm working on and this really helps show the whole process on a basic level so I can get started.
@ptpare18 жыл бұрын
When I try and move the IC, Altium moves the cursor far off the board. This makes it impossible to place the IC correctly. How would you correct this? -- Some very helpful guys representing Altium in South Africa got back to me promptly with the solution: Hi Phillip, I found reason for the issue you were having. The Reference (“centre point”) for the IC is WAY off to the top right of the footprint. To correct this, Click EDIT > Set Reference > Center (Shortcut E>F>C )

For routing the components on the board, why do not you use the autoroute mode in the route?
@AlinNegut9 жыл бұрын
Hi! At 2:13 You have slightly different options than i have. I have Define from selected Objects, which gives me an error saying Could not find board outline using primitives centerline due to the following error: At least 2 connected tracks/arcs or full circle required

Alin Negut Plz if you know how to solve this error tell me
@adoknjas9 жыл бұрын
vhdlworld If you are still having problems, this can be solved by selecting the view menu and then selecting board planning mode. Once you have done that, you can go over to to the design menu and select redefine board shape, edit board shape, etc..

Sir,I made a custom 40pin DIP as per the datasheet.When I import it in my PCB The Nets are not visible for that component.For other component the nets are visible but not for a custom schematic.Where I am going wrong?.

Hi, I first want to say that you explain really well. I have one question, can you tell me please... how do I make a pdf file or .docx file? for print my pcb design in the real scale, for to do it by myself.
@VladRomanov8910 жыл бұрын
When you hit print, there is an option to have it in "actual scale". If selected, it will print the layout as if it was the final PCB.

Can you help me? I don't have a LPKF, so then i'm going to do the process with termotransfer paper and when I try to print the document, there aren't any hole!! (I know, gerber doesn't generate the holes) but I need to do it and keep it on a PDF or some. Thanks in advance!!

Hello, can you help? i send my pcb to manufacturur, but i got message "But I check your pcb file and found your pcb layout design there is not outline file for us measuring the dimension, this is not good." What do they want?
@VladRomanov8911 жыл бұрын
I apologize for that; I am very new to the screen recording software I am using and for some reason the file failed to process the first time. I should have went over the process of wiring the circuit from the second part. Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks is been very helpful, I need help on modifying an existing PCB layout. Is there a Video on modifying a PCB layout on Altium Designer Revision 10? Delete components, add new components and move components and then regenerate new gerber files
@VladRomanov8911 жыл бұрын
Hey Habib, I would suggest checking out this video: EEVblog #245 - PSU Design Part 10 - PCB Layout Editing and eevblog in general. He has some great tutorials on modifying existing layouts.

nice tutorial man :) although i have been wondering... Isn't it a little bit difficult to etching if u use the second layer circuit into your actual PCB model?
@VladRomanov8910 жыл бұрын
It definitely is, I had actually made a PCB of this circuit, but in surface mount which allows me to keep everything on one side. Additionally, keep in mind that you will need to drill your own holes, so using surface mount when you can will make your life much easier.

I just want to ask if Altium software can generate image files like .jpg or .bmp for PCB layout?
@VladRomanov8910 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. Altium definitely does that; you should be able to print out your design in 1:1 scale. It's common to do that for DIY etching.

+EEEnthusiast more exactly !!!! -1-create a output job -2-add a new fabrication ouput -2.1-choose final production artwork in page setup change in scale print 1.0 choose your layer and so on print et voila! took me 1hour to find jason morgan's anwser source:electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/94931/altium-designer-how-do-i-scale-the-output-gerber-file-generated-by-smart-pdf-in anyway,i try altium,eagle,proteus,kicad..i'll stay on altium too easy to create trace with the same length,to create components and so on

Can you tell me how to place jumper in the pcb layout..........
@VladRomanov8910 жыл бұрын
The simplest way would be to place two one pin headers between where you would want the jumper and then to simply connect them. Depending on what kind of a jumper you want, you can have a two pin header if you are talking about selection jumpers. Hope that helped..
