I think ghosts was an underrated game, but it got a lot of things holding it back: came out after bo2, sbmm, super fast ttk, large and campy maps and overall terrible maps. And so on.

What's interesting is that for the earlier cods its just the ak47. Ghosts and Advanced warfare are the first and only cod so far to implement the standard base AK12 (Skipping over the ak74 and ak74m in between) and the model used is actually the prototype version which never entered final production and didnt get past 2015. The modern ak12 is actually the ak-400 but it adopted the ak12 name after the prototypes were abandoned in 2015. Black ops 4 has an Ak which appears to be an ak12 prototype but futuristically modified. Modern Warfare 19 is the first CoD to implement use of the ak74 5.45 mags but its still overall a 47 model. MW2 2022 is first to implement both platforms of 47 and 74 but still missing the AK12. Black Ops 6 is the first to use standard ak74 but you can probably change mags to 7.62 (Don't know as I didn't play the beta that much). Hopefully a newer CoD or perhaps the next Battlefield can use the AK12. BF4 includes the AK12 but with the prototype model, bf2042 also includes the AK12 final production model.
