I could watch you paint for hours... You inspired me to take up painting a few years ago, as therapy after a tragic loss of my son. I have yet to attempt anything quite like your art, but I am going to get up the courage to try. I firmly believe the ability is within me to do something wonderful. Your art touches my soul deeply, and I appreciate you and your sharing of your work.

I was curious~~~ what is in that square white container that you dipped your brush into? I am at the age of 65 where I would love to learn as much as I can from observing your amazing work. Even if I was a tiny bit as good as you, I would be happy. The older you get, you lose loved ones and the beauty, softness and serenity feeling your art gives me~~~makes my sad heart happy! Thank you for giving me that!!! Warm greetings from Canada!

Hi Diane, it is a medium I use when I work with strongly diluted acryl paint. Thanks for your warm message and I wish you happy painting!

No, I just use regular acrylics besides a lot of other stuff.
@maireadharkin51247 жыл бұрын
yes but its the other stuff i am worried about !!! i love useing the long palette knife, i go mad with it !!!
@eelcomaan7 жыл бұрын
The other stuff is kind of an alchemistic secret... But in the end, I'd go for the long palette knife every time... :-)

Your are an outstanding artist Eelco. I have admired your work for years! What is the thick white substance you put on the canvas for texture with the long palette knife. Keep the video coming, very interesting.

Abstract art never killed anyone? In these days of major environmental concern, we never stop to think about the huge amount of natural resources consumed to make art materials. Acrylic paints (basically, a form of plastic), canvas, wood, brush, solvents, mediums etc. Billions of tons of materials go toward making the stuff that artists use; consuming vast amounts of the Earth. And in turn polluting the Earth. It is ironic that so many artists claim to be eco-friendly, when in fact their appetite and need for materials is voracious and insatiable. Art is an industry and like all other industries, it is killing the planet.
