IsNotRetro might be my favorite person playing these games, I didn't even know they existed until the supercuts, but they have just the right combination of theorizing, noticing small details, being methodical in their approach and a soothing voice. Even the theories that end up being wrong (like the plant based species) end up being interesting because they have clues hinting at them. Genuinely feels like a new playthough in a way to watch these.

Obsessed with the fact that in the ow play through by sheer coincidence retro kind of had a similar arch as the owlks about the eye, like in the base game he was convinced that the eye was a bad thing that destroyed the universe until eventually he learnt the eye was neutral and also what allowed a beautiful new universe to be born, and the owlks as well thought the eye was scary and dangerous until the prisoner realized it just was, and what came after would be beautiful
@Schnabetier4 ай бұрын
Gotta love how everyone playing this DLC is afraid of the owlfolk and here I was conditioned by the base game to think "aliens are nice" instantly running towards the first owlfolk I found in the dream (in the mangrove forest) to greet them only to get a nasty surprise...

I think it's cause of the reduced frights warning. I reckon if the popup didn't happen, people would be much less scared initially of the owlks.

I think theres a couple mods that have tried to answer that question. Personally, I sorta like the idea that ghost matter is totally natural.
