God, this made me tear up. I'm 56, an old school Eels fan and a parent and feel that time closing in, or slipping away, grateful for what I've had but yet it's still sad to lose people and know there's an end in sight. Beautiful, meaningful work.🙏

Mhm can’t believe I’ve been listening to them for fifteen years, already. Can’t believe little guy is about to be three. Everything just becomes more bittersweet as life goes on so the eels is music that just ages better and better.

Time again comes knocking on your noggin to remind you of your time left in this world. Reaching 40 felt old then 50 didn't seem too bad.. then the last 6 years have been on seemingly turbo mode it scares me.. It's TIME to choose WISELY about what you're going to do with your life..

Well, that's a trip from the Sargasso Sea and back. It's the grandson wearing the parallel worlds T-shirt with his grandfather on it that really made me well up. No one can touch E for that extraordinary poignancy that he can infuse his songs with.

Just when you think he is done writing good albums he smack you with an album like this, yet another perfect album, I put him up top with the usual names and the unusual ones. I listened to hundreds of bands in 2024, but only 2 made it on top by far, him and the ones name shall not be said. My last 4 concerts were Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Foo Fighters and Billje Eilish (TS was too expensive) So, I doubt anyone else here loves all those but can we agree E is the most unique of them, I was hoping he would tour in 2025, especially given the misery DJT will inflict. Only Puddles tickets, sad.

Actually, everyone in the video is dead but MOE. Even the dog. Parents, relatives, etc. He almost died too, but there was a "nice catch" as he says in another song. Long ago deconstructed.

Beautiful. I remember when I was going to school, every morning I would flip the clock from 8am to 4pm in my mind and tell myself, see, I'm home already, that would always help me get through the day. I hated school. Always wishing my time and life away when things were difficult but, I don't like to look at the clock now, time moves ever so quickly, we must savour every moment as much as possible, time makes us who we are and what we've learnt. Thank you Mr Everett for reminding me that time and life are precious 💕

Ay! Te amo from Argentina. Thinking about time everyday... Yesterday while I was preparing an acting class I found a suggestion for a song of yours on Spotify. I listened to it and fell in love. I used it for a very beautiful and emotional class. And today I wanted to know more about you and I found this song talking about time... just everything I've been thinking about. Thank you, I love you!

I've seen a lot of shows, probably pushing at least 500 - 1,000 different individual concerts since my creation in the 70s, but only the Eels has led me to both travel across the world (to Austrailia) just to see them even though their home base is relatively near where I live and I've had the pleasure to partake in a few tribute cover albums to them, one even featuring a few of its former band members on a few songs as well. I've never done either for any other band or artist, even as a lifelong musician with a solid dedication to all music entails. The Eels will always hold a special place deep in my soul and their music an important soundtrack to my and many other's lives. It's crazy to think it's been 4 decades of music. Thanks for your time and talent Eels. Be well.

My former therapist said I know his songs better than her husband, he was IN the band, I could always quote an appropriate line. She doubted I was a fan, probably thought I knew he was in the band. She asked him and he said it was not in a song. I told her the song, he had to apologize that I was correct. Yep, I knew his songs even more. I think it was from the live bonus CD to Souljacker, only 4 songs. Well, time to skip until I don't float. Be-sides
