Great demo, thanks for doing the video, I've got the nano 1.1 would like to get the 2, but the AUDs to USA exchange rate kills it for me but I'll keep an eye on it and never say never. Cheers!

Great video. Can you ply yarn with this machine?

Is there a way to show the difference in noise level between the 1.1 and the 2.0?
@vampyyy2 жыл бұрын
Not easily for me, as my 1 has a test motor in that's different to the 1.1, and my 2.0 isn't the final version either. If you ask Maurice he might be able to do it for you.

Thank you for your review. I have a couple of questions: could you use your eew6 battery with the nano 2 or is the voltage too high? Also, my eew6 break band tends to snap fairly often, do you think elastic might work ok on the eew6 as it seems to on the nano 2? I love my eew6 but am thinking of getting the nano 2 to help me spin finer singles, I'd likely ply them on my bigger bobbins on the eew6. Do the nano 2 bobbins fit on the eew6 lazy kate? Sorry to bombard you x
@vampyyy2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this before. My EEW6 battery works with the nano as it also has USB outputs, if it only had the 2.5mm jack then it wouldn't work. Elastic should work ok as a brake band for the 6.0, though you'd have to play with the thickness/stretch to find something that works for you. If your brake band is breaking often though it's likely that you need to give the bobbin channel a quick sand to get rid of any sharp parts, as they shouldn't be breaking regularly. And yes, the nano 2 bobbins fit on the lazy kate that came with the EEW6 in the kickstarter.

Hi Vampy, I hope you're OK xx ❣ I have a question. I have both the Nano 1.1 and the 6 is there any advantage in having the 2 as well ??? Thankyou so much for this demonstration. Its very informative and interesting. Hope you have a Great Easter Weekend. Take care and stay safe. Happy Spinning. Jen xx ❣❣🐇 ( in Lancashire)

It really depends on the sort of things you like to spin, and the speed you spin at. If you've ever needed more speed or takeup out of your nano in a situation where it's not practical for you to use your 6, then you'll benefit from the Nano 2. If you're perfectly happy with your current Nano then you don't really need the new one... although if you get it I'm sure you'll love it and find many uses for it, as it really is better!

Do you find that the power cord gets in the way of reaching the tension knob?
@vampyyy2 жыл бұрын
@@MySweetT1 no, not at all, it didn't even cross my mind, i think the power cord sits lower than the tension knob so it's not an issue.

@@vampyyy Hi Vampy Thankyou for your reply. I like the fact that the Nano 1.1 likes to spin fine and that the 6 seems to like the thicker yarns better. I've watched all your videos on all the Nano's, they're all so informative and your experience is invaluable. I'm going to seriously think about whether I really need the 2 or not. Thanks again for sharing your expertise. Happy Spinning 🐏🐏 Take care and stay safe Love Jen xx 💖 ❣❤
