Hi, this is probably irrelevant but I wanted to share the high school experience with EF Educational Tours (which is different from SEOUL)! Anyways I'm still in high school and one of the teachers in my school does a trip every year (for sophomores to seniors) in different places in Europe with Ef Tours. This was my first time traveling alone without a parent and to Europe! We went to Italy and Spain and got to see amazing places like Rome, Florence, Madrid, and Spain. The tour is supposed to be a learning experience but it didn't feel like that at all! We got to learn about the history of Catalonia while riding bikes and going through the streets of Spain and pass by the beaches, we also saw the many different types of architecture all around Italy and Spain and visited the most famous places In each of the cities we went to all while learning! Even though the teacher that does this is from my high school it is was apart of the school so we didn't have to do any assignments about what we learned which was cool! My cousin, he's a boy and a year older than me was the only person I knew when signing up for this trip (I had to make girl-friends because you share rooms with your same gender). Making friends was really easy and I'm glad I did this because I would have never met these super cool people if I didn't do this trip (there are over 4,000 students in my school). The fact that I didn't need to worry about where I should go an what I should do made the experience very stress free. The only downside is how much money I spent during the trip if you are not good at managing your money just be careful haha. Everything is included in the trip except for lunch and any souvenirs you decide to buy, but we did fundraisers so everyone got 120 dollars to spend for lunch or whatever we wanted (breakfast and dinner are included). I think I had so much fun on this trip because of how super lenient my teacher was, she has been doing this for 24 years and is very experienced, so we were able to roam the streets of Europe alone as long as we were responsible, open, and with at least one person. Some teachers aren't as lenient and don't allow as much freedom. You also might travel with other people depending on your group size. My group this year was 8 people so we traveled with another school everyone together was about 45 students in total. My aunt and older brother both did two of these trips when they were in high school, next year if the quarantine is over I will be going on my second trip (for my cousin it will be his third trip) to Paris, London, Brussels, and Amsterdam in February 2021 (we even are planning to add an extra day to visit Disney Paris!). I totally recommend going on at least of these trips, I will never forget the millions of fun memories I made on this trip and will for sure make my future child go on one! also, people in Europe are super smart and almost every place/store I went to spoke/understood at least simple English (I also speak Spanish which helped a lot in Spain and also a little in Italy because of the similarities in languages) sorry, this was super long and probably hard to read because the words are so close together but I just loved the trip and wanted to share! if you have any questions lmk!

Hey, I'm sorry for commenting even though this vid is quite old but I just have a few questions. How did you check in to the hotel? Does someone help you or do you have to do it on your own? Is there a CVS near? Did you get a SIM-Card or something for Data? Im really sorry to annoy you with all these questions but im really wanna now alot before I would go there 😅
@monkeriaross3 жыл бұрын
These are very valid questions. The hotel workers speak English so i just went to the desk and showed my passport and checked in. I set up an international plan through my phone company before I left so I didn’t have to worry about getting a SIM card. It was much easier to do that. There is a convenience store in the hotel and literally a minute walk up the road. You can get anything you need from either one. There are 3-4 convenience stores in less than a mile radius that will take no more than 5 mins to get to each in the area. Does that info help a little bit?

Hello!! I’m planning to go in 2023 maybe, and i want to stay in a residence as well, but I want to go with a friend, we can stay in the same room as roommate or we need to be separated? ;; because we want to live the experience together. And, another question, was it expensive to stay in a residence? As far as I know is cheaper to stay with a host family, but I would like to stay in a residence because it seems more comfortable. Do you share the payment of the room with your roommate? And did you felt it expensive or it was okay? Thank you for answering!! You’re really cute
@monkeriaross3 жыл бұрын
Congrats on booking your trip! Let your EF sponsor you booked with know that you’re traveling and would like to share a room with your friend. Make sure they have your friends name and I believe they will contact them. The residence can get expensive in terms of having to constantly buy yourself food and you pay all the costs up front and separately from your friend. There are no split or shared costs for the residence. I don’t personally think it was that expensive to stay in the residence though. It could be more of a hassle to stay in a host family if you live further out as well because I had a friend who stayed an hour away and had to go through a lot of transportation vs the residence being super close and a bus ride away! You spend less money on transportation. I hope this helps and thank you 😁

¡Hola!
