I was born Christian. I worked as a police officer in a city in the US that had hardly any Muslims. In fact, prior to studying, I had never met a Muslim. As I got older, I wanted to get deeper into faith, so I began asking questions to the church to further my understanding. The problem is, I was told repeatedly not to ask questions, just to believe. That wasn’t accepted to me. So I dove deeper into studying in academia. So one night I was stressed out and confused because I found all the errors of Christianity out as I found Dr. Bart Erhman’s works (PhD holder, Princeton Seminary and moody biblical institute graduate and master of New Testament studies). Erhman shows the countless errors of the Bible, contradictions, additions to the texts, things removed and the facts that no proof is established upon the text etc. My studies also showed many open-ended problems with biblical history and accuracy. I broke down in tears and asked whoever created me, to guide me to what is right in terms of religion. A few days later, a friend of mine (catholic) who was working in the UAE and had a free plane ticket for them to travel home. They didn’t want to, so they gave me the ticket and I went to visit for a month. While there, it was the end of Ramadan. The area was not really a tourism area, rather an area that was home to native people. One day, I was at the mall there right before Iftar. I had been in pretty good physical shape as I was doing bodybuilding a few years prior. A little child ran up to me and flexed his arms. He didn’t speak English, so I couldn’t talk to him but I smile and flexed back. He smiled and ran away. A few moments later, the child returned, but this time had a group of adults with him. They all were men and all wore thobes. I had never seen thobes before-as I lived and worked in a far-right environment in the US and the only talk of Muslims was what Fox News said. I never really paid much attention to what the news said, because some news outlets slandered police or painted bad images of them and I never did things bad while working as a cop, so I knew it wasn’t true. Anyways, The tallest man of the group approached me and I stared to think that perhaps I shouldn’t have spoken to his child because I had a cross on. I know this is a stupid idea, but I didn’t know. So the man asked me how many sandwiches he should eat to get big. His English was very limited, but it broke the ice so to speak, and we talked about fitness for a while and parted ways. After that, Iftar began and random people in the mall offered me food. This is something you never see in the US. Strangers offering food in the mall. So I spent a month in the UAE and literally every person I met was extremely nice. Once I got back home, my studies in college had almost reached Islam. The program covered Judaism first, then Christianity and lastly Islam. Some students would have animosity towards the beginning of the Islam part, and I found myself defending it by speaking about what I actually saw myself in a Muslim nation. People were fascinated. I was anxious to begin the islam section of study because I had seen so many nice things while I was in the uae. I heard the call to prayer, where everyone in any area retreats to a prayer area 5 times per day no matter where they were, people being generous, cleanliness everywhere, smiles given to me (while I wore a cross) all the time etc. I wanted to know why the slander of Muslims is done in America when I saw Muslims in a Muslim country and none of the stereotypes spoken of in the West was seen during my entire trip. So I went online and tried to find an English translation of Quran and landed on the Haleem translation. I purchased it and as soon as it came, I began reading it, even before my college studies began the Islam section. I couldn’t stop reading it. I remember bringing it to work with me and reading it in my police car. I would have deep discussions with my squad, as I worked in a unit with an atheist, a Jew, an evangelist, a catholic and two non-denominational Christians. Finally, I sought out a mosque and found only one in the entire city. I went there to ask questions and was introduced to a guy around my age. I told him that I believed in One God, but still loved Jesus. I viewed Jesus as a messenger because Jesus clearly stated so in the Bible. A red letter bible was helpful in that assessment. After I told him my views, he informed me that I held the views of a Muslim. Then he and I spoke for a bit more and he told me to accept Islam. I told him that I would think a bit more and come back to officially accept in a week so I could do it on my birthday. His response was “Well, if you leave right now and get into an accident and die, you would die as a non-Muslim after realizing Islam was the truth”. Although harsh sounding, he had a point. He proceeded to invite all of the brothers in the masjid to the corner we sat in and I took Shahadah, Alhamdulillah. Since then, I have been studying so much and each day I am even more grateful to having been guided to Islam. If anyone is still reading my long story, and might agree with Islam, but feels their environment, friends and family might not accept them if they accept Islam, let me tell you this. I was a police officer which often times is a far-right Christian conservative environment. Mine was for sure. I also lived in a city that was a “red” state, or heavily republican, which tends to also have a lot of right wing conservative “Christian” views. There was one mosque in the entire city, and no Imam. The people there were either college students who stopped by to pray and then leave, or older Somalian refugees-many of which didn’t speak much English. My entire family are Christians. My daughter was Christian. All my friends were either atheist or Christian... none of that mattered. Why? Because I believed and had conviction that Islam is the truth and I care more about the hereafter than I did about the current situation. Situations change, but faith remains and is ultimately what is the only important matter. Every Prophet (peace be upon them), had a colossal task of giving the message of the Oneness of God to people who rejected them, disagreed with them, tried to kill them etc. surely the odds were not in their favor and they didn’t give up their task nor their faith just because of the people around them. My advice, open your mind and most importantly, your hear. Pray to your Creator and ask for guidance. Put your current religion to the test and study it. Study faith via academics and don’t judge a faith by the actions of some people wholesale, rather read what the texts of the religion say. Read the Quran. Reflect upon it. Visit your local mosque and ask questions. Muslims love when people ask them questions. Islam teaches one to use their brain and encourages studying. Islam is a complete way of life and will stand up to all questions. There is an answer for everything in life found in Islam. Sorry for rambling on. I hope whoever reads this finds peace and comfort in seeking truth. May Allah guide us. Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

I think this has to be, one of the clearest most concise explanations of Islam i have ever heard, i really enjoyed watching this although i am already a Muslim, so thankyou brother Hamza, May God reward you.... Matt seems like such a down to earth, genuine type of Man, i always find it that these type of people tend to be the ones who end of converting to Islam because their hearts are good, so open to recognizing good, my mother is a convert too, and she is one of the most kind, good natured Human beings i have ever met, Matt would make an amazing addition to Islam, i hope Allah guides him so he can taste the beauty of Islam in this life, not just in the next, its so true what Hamza said about giving things up for the sake of God/ Allah, once upon a time i was working in a Job i 'Hated' but needed the money, as i was at uni, i used to pray at work, until one day the manager called me in the office and literally told me i had to stop praying because 'It wasn't good for business, i told my manager that i would stay behind extra time or come early to work, but he refused this, so i told him, that in that case you have forced me to resign, my manager was shocked, and said is it really that bad? and told him that Islam was my heart ( so yes) he then escorted me out of the building ( yes i know i could have sued) ......as i was literally walking away, the building still in sight, i got a phone call from another Job asking me to start work on the Monday, and the Pay was £10 an hour ( which was a lot more ten years ago in value ) as oppose to the £6 an hour i was earning in the Job i just resigned from that i absolutely hated, i believe this was Gods work, that he was pleased with me for giving up my Job for my faith, so he gave me better then it......... Good luck Matt

when Muhammad began receiving revelations in the cave on Mount Hira, his first impression was that he had been possessed by a poetry demon.25 Second, after his experience in the cave, Muhammad became suicidal, and tried to hurl himself off a cliff. Muslim sources report that his wife Khadijah and her cousin Waraqah, who weren’t in the cave and had no idea what he encountered, persuaded him that he wasn’t possessed-he was a prophet of God.26 Third, when Muhammad delivered the 53rd chapter of the Qur’an to his followers, it contained verses allowing Muslims to pray to three pagan goddesses (al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat). Muhammad recited these verses and bowed down in honor of the new revelation. A little later, however, he told his followers that the so-called “Satanic Verses,” which he had delivered as part of the Qur’an, weren’t really from Allah; they were from Satan. Muhammad removed them from the Qur’an and replaced them with the words we find in chapter 53 today.27 Fourth, at one point late in life, Muhammad said he was the victim of a magic spell that lasted about a year. According to multiple sources, one of Muhammad’s enemies stole his hairbrush and used it to cast a spell on him. Ibn Ishaq tells us that Muhammad was bewitched during this time, and Bukhari adds that the spell made him delusional.28

By the way the prophet peace upon him was never heard reciting poetry since he was young and Arabic poetry has to follow a precise structure called "taf'ilah" and the Quran doesn't follow any of those structures yet it was a sensible speech which is miraculous since any language has a set of standard structures that encompass a meaningful sensible speech and in Arabic the Quran follows none of the Arabic structures yet is meaningful and that is why some Arabs became Muslim after hearing just a couple of verses. So, we can study the meanings and structures to see how the logic and arguments are presented to see the truth

A beautiful speech from Hamza , may Allah bless him all the time. It is always good and exciting when you tell people about your own experience, life and your converting to Islam, because people love such stories and love to know how was the life of a converter before and after converting . This is really brave from you ( Hamza) , because many people didn't like to talk about their private life and now you do it just for the sake of Alaah . That's beautiful and that's why many Muslims love to watch your videos, plus , off course, your own special way of calling to Allah almighty and your intelligence way to call people to Islam and to worship the only true God ( Allah, ) . Thanks a lot and keep it up . If Allah subhanh wa taalaa guided only one person to Islam because of you , this is better for you than anything on this planet, as prophet Muhammad peace be upon him did say . I ❤️ this video. Thanks again .
