Ayn Rand said “Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps down new roads armed with nothing but their own vision. Their goals differed, but they all had this in common: that the step was first, the road new, the vision unborrowed, and the response they received - hatred. The great creators - the thinkers, the artists, the scientists, the inventors - stood alone against the men of their time. Every great new thought was opposed. Every great new invention was denounced. The first motor was considered foolish. The airplane was considered impossible. The power loom was considered vicious. Anesthesia was considered sinful. But the men of unborrowed vision went ahead. They fought, they suffered and they paid. But they won.”

I am a black South African. On the line... Beiderer asks how would the expropriated land be beneficial to the unemployed, and the question is not answered properly. I mean, giving land equally to us, blacks? We have no profitable plans for land, no farming skills, no money to start a business on such land, either. I am still confused as to how this expropriation is going to benefit anyone at all. I am a moderate fan of the EFF, how they've shaken up RSA within a short period of its existence, and they are the only party I've ever thought of actually casting my vote for. But, they claim to not be racists when Malema is known to say things like "shoot/kill the boer". I personally don't like that, regardless of our country's history. I like white people even though I've *personally* experienced some racism (in passing), but them living this country is not going to profit anyone. And, *empowering* blacks seems to be the only excuse behind taking land from whites, when to me, it seems racially motivated. If land is taken from them without compensation, how on Earth do we expect them to make a living? Some times I feel like a bunch of people follow political parties with no backbone; everything the leaders say, is right. Lets be logical and stop following, just because.... All I want to know is *from my fellows brothers*; if land is given to you/your family today (or in future), what are you going to do with it? What are your plans to make it profitable? Bare in mind that RSA is in a technical recession, with Agriculture as the highest contributing factor. Farms that have been given to blacks, are now dying. White farmers are planting less, because their future isn't certain.

Chris niem firstly you wake up - secondly your history books are useless cause it is books that was MADE-UP in recent years. Blacks did not record history show me a book that was written in the same years as what white history books were written you can't - the third point is that approximately 87 % of South Africa there was no blacks because they did not have western technologies to survive on the land. The claims that you make is just as silly as saying America belongs to you! If you want to talk about terrorist ideologies you do not have to look further than the current state of the country where black people strike almost daily. When BLACKS strike to fight for their right they step on other people's rights WHERE busses trains buildings vandalized and trucks hijacked everything stolen and then burnt down this sounds more like terrorist ideologies and don't forget about Xenophobia where BLACK PEOPLE KILL BLACK PEOPLE the worst RACISM against humanity. The only people that are promoting terrorist ideologies are you and if there is war in the future it will be on your hands.

Currently SA farmers have over $11 Billion dollars of debt linked to their lands. This means the SA government will now be responsible for $11+ Billion dollars of debt/mortgages. Current SA debt stands at $203 Billion dollars and climbing fast. Debt to GDP ratio of 54%, expected to be 60% by year 2020. In 2008 debt to GDP was 27%. They are also operating on a budget deficit every year. The government will either default on the loans or devalue its currency in response to expropriation without compensation. In either event this will cause their economy to likely collapse.

@Raymond-pl9hf5 жыл бұрын
If the state were trusted enough to be custodian of such prized assets as the land and the mines then surely this pool of our money, which ultimately constitutes what a bank represents and currently under the hands of a non-inclusive entity should also be in the hands of the state? This way it would be much more easier to fund these SME'S for the state also has power over redtape and would format favorable policies to fast track delivery.
@DavidHarsant15 жыл бұрын
its got nothing to do with land ownership but everything to do with the economy and job creation. No one is stopping black people from owning land. In fact people like the FMF which are predominantly white are actually getting title deeds for black people who own rdp houses and which the government is failing to provide them with. What whites are protecting is the property rights, which has a direct effect on investment opportunities and free trade rights. No one is stopping black people from owning land if the land they are wanting to own has been bought and paid for and a title deed has been issued. People seem to have this illusion that all whites own land. When its actually very very far from the truth. There is almost 12 times more blacks that own land than white people. As far as how much land each owns thats a different ball game, because most white people are farmers, and have huuge debts by the bank for that land. I work in various rural communities and i can honestly say, out of the land that has been bought and redistributed to black people, the conditions on those farms is dire. It takes alot more than simply owning land to generate wealth. Out of all of them ive been too which is around 20, only 1 has actually managed to generate wealth, and its only been so because a white farmer who is a neighbor helps them run the farm, training them etc, getting their equipment fixed and so on. Again that is 1 farmer, who has a good 30 staff which are paid minimally by the owner, so it doesnt alleviate all the economic problems of black people, only 1. What really needs to be addressed in this country is crime, job creation, education standards and population growth. Every year our population grows by 800 000, despite one of the highest HIV and murder rates in the world.

All land within an Exclusive Economic Zone of a sovereign state is already owned by the colonial sovereign. A title deed is not title. It's a deed, a restricted deed, restricted by force to a monopoly currency of a colonial religious entity. People in a sovereign state are forced to use a colonial title in order to use any means of production. So-called land owners are indentured tenants, on the sovereign state's plantation. Being registered to vote, in a sovereign state, is consent to be under the office of the sovereign's plantation manager, under the office of the primary resident. Voting in a sovereign state is voting to imprison people for contravening an apartheid law. For example, the people locked up like animals in deportation centers, like Lindela, are suffering the consequences of RSA apartheid today. #EndGlobalApartheid

Apartheid In South Afrika Did Not Die And This Is The Reason Why "Colonial education makes the mis-educated native elites into rats with the education of cats. We have here not education but chains. This colonial education has a function that goes on beyond the formal ending of colonialism. In fact, it can be argued that the colonialist by giving the native colonial education is preparing for another victory in the post-independence era. When colonialism managed by settlers is ended, a new phase of colonialism managed by the “native elite” begins. From this point of view, the defeat of the African in the war against colonialism is already guaranteed by virtue of the native elite’s black skin color and a soul that is white." Chinweizu 1. Which of the senior officials in the current ANC administration are NOT wealthy individuals in south afrika (including the current president, Cyril Ramphosa) ??? 2. Why did the neo-colonial ANC government pursue a land reclamation policy of "willing seller, willing buyer" which was in complete contradiction to what they stated in their so-called freedom charter : "The national wealth of our country, the heritage of South Africans, shall be restored to the people; the mineral wealth beneath the soil; the banks and monopoly industries shall be transferred to the ownership of the people as a whole; all other industries and trade shall be controlled to assist the well-being of the people." 3. In their quest to appease their Dutch oppressors the ANC and the colonially trained Desmond Tutu chose to established the fake truth and reconcialiation committee without requiring from their oppressor some form of compensation (reparatory justice). In sum, the majority of the afrikan nation states are run by black europeans.

I can't believe this is happening. Well, they may face starvation from this action. They would have introduced the black into the farming business gradually, if they don't want to collapse the economy. Migration of races to far away places is normal and would never stop as long as there would always be economically devastated regions at any particular time and the people would naturally seek places with greener pasture like the whitemen who invaded Africa, and now the table has turned and the black people are migrating to Europe and America.
@adriaanvandermerwe42523 жыл бұрын
There are 18 million black rural South Africans who live on 17 million hectares of black tribal land, which means that there are more black South Africans living on rural land than the total white population of South Africa put together. All black South Africans have land, but they are not allowed to own it because of the tribal land system. Except for the Zulus, all black tribal land is owned by government. So what is the point of farmland expropriation - All that it will do is put more and more farmland in the hands of government - Government does not give title to the land to the black people. No, government only leases it to black people, which is really nothing but the nationalization of farmland and at the end of the day we still have not resolved the land question, just as you have in Zimbabwe? So, the whole land expropriation is just a farce. People don't need land - People need jobs and here the government has been very successful at expropriating jobs from the whites through a process called affirmative action.

I'm not from S.A but everything the guy says makes sense. Political power without economical power is useless. If blacks S.A make 80% of the population, they should occupy 80percent of the country's land. It's just common sense because the white S.A inherited the lands from the colonial settlers who murdered millions of people and took their lands by force. This is reverse colonialism. It's not racism. All black South Africans should agree on that. Most white South Africans will never agree with it. Don't try to convince them. You're just wasting your breath, black folks. It's all about equality. We're not advocating hate against white people. The fight of the new century must be against not white people but "white supremacy". The idea that you must be better, smarter because of your skin color is false.

I like this guy. He just needs to learn to dress for the job he wants as opposed to the job he has. Now nobody is talking about the Elephant in the room but I will. This land grab which I agree with is just the beginning, but if white people start getting killed wholesale then I'm going to have a serious problem with them and will donate money and everything else under my power personally to bring them down, just like we brought down Apartied. Take back your country's resources, but nobody should get killed in the process when you hold the high advantage. You must build a World Class Military. This needs to begin now. It should be done quietly, but I'm talking SECOND TO NONE! You also must manufacture your own weapons. S. A. has all the resources you need to build anything from the dirt. You don't have to have the best planes, but you need the means to bring down the best planes and that is cheap because#1 you have the raw materials. What you need is the brain trust. You should have a team scouring the globe transferring all knowledge back to you. They should be speaking with scientists and engineers all over the globe. The African Soldier must be feared and respected not because of their ferocity, but because of their professional competence and high moral standard. Your military must be without banana republic corruption. But I cannot stress enough how important a highly competent professional military is to your cause. This is to become the backbone of South Africa. It can be loyal to no party other than to South Africa and the office of President. These troops must train hard right now. Every day in fact. No loafing. They must study military strategy every day. While this is ongoing I would pursue C.A.D.S. based solutions. The faster you achieve competence in this area, the less you will have to worry about conventional arms. Now, other country's will help you achieve this, but you can't start killing people. Take what's yours and give them reasonable compensation to restart somewhere else. Remember, you don't have to pay them in a lump sum. Let the resources you appropriate help with the payment. You must become strong and focused to defend what is yours and you must not allow your politicians to live above their means at the expense of the people. I mean hell Mandela was freed Thirty Years ago. What's taking you so long to get your shit together? Now once you can defend yourself, then you need to form a multi nation coalition because Africa controls the World's strategic minerals and with a viable defence capability you can then sanction countries by withholding export of these minerals if they violate YOUR TERMS. You don't have to be able to defeat a Superpower, but you need to make it so expensive they wouldn't dare try. Carrier Killer Technology is a must have along with hf and quantum radar. I'm sure BRICS is helping you with that. Do not be satisfied with receiving the equipment, Tear it down and reverse engineer to make it your own. South Africa is a very unique situation. Don't screw it up. The World is watching so wear a damn suit, Floyd! You are now the face of Modern S. Africa so you might want to lose some weight while you're at it.
